and they gave me the best of the 3 options. youll get your money back in mags in about 5 years if you go out and buy the f&s and outdoorlife mags.
im still paying. the bob allen vest they sent me seems better quality than my realtree vest i got for $30 so stay with it for a while.
i email them and they send back 50-50 human/machine response but at least the first part is a person.
ithink its worth it.

Why make fun? Ever figure that some folks just want to test equipment just to test something new - and NOT care about keeping it (like myself)?

Agreed, but if thats the angle one wants to use, then just go out and buy the item you want to test. Not pay a club 300 bucks adn HOPE you are picked sometime in your life. Almost ALL retailers have a return policy in place if you don't like the product. That's alot easier then the stuff these people put themselves through here based on hopes. To say it is not worth the hastle to buy,try and keep or return is as lame as the complaints read here in this BB. Bottom line is that people with that reasoning just want stuff HANDED to them. This club isn't for people with that mindset.

This is a company that is in business to make a profit. Your hunting club is a group of like-minded individuals who have gotten together to lease or get hunting rights paid for by dues. That club actually hunts live game, the NAHC isn't that type of club, even though when it was first formed there was leased land available for members to hunt on, but that went the way of the DODO bird, somewhere back around 1980 or so.

I would like to respond that I joined for the reason of the mag and the chance to talk to other hunters. I also joined because this club has numbers in membership. That money that you think is wasted in fact is fighting for your rights to bear arms right now. The freebies come from sponsers of the sight. Not from what the club buys.
The profits from what they send you to buy goes to you to be able to keep your rights.
lets get the facts right.

tingersoll---You're the one who better get his facts straight, or maybe you think you're posting on the NRA website   This "CLUB" is a multiconglomerate corporation that's sole purpose is to make money for the owners and that was stated right out here on these Forums more than once by Bill Miller, Ex Dir of the NAHC!!! In no way is any of our money going to fight for our right to bear arms and that was also stated on the Forums by Mr. Miller. He actually posted that the NRA and Shooting Sports Foundation are two of the places to spend our money on what you're talking about, so for a first post you are way off and may want to think and verify what you post before you put your second one up!!! If you in any way think that any of the profits this organization makes goes "to be able to keep your right to bear arms" then you are the next "The Word" that has posted on the site!!!

I love this forum. This starting post goes right along with my first post. I have seen japar, rthomas and holly respond. The only thing that would make it complete would be to see a post by ekinker (my angry lil buddy from the south). I do have one question. Why is it that the members that have been here a while feel that their length of dedication to the club/forum gives them a sense of entitlement or position in the club? I am a member of a local club and all the members are treated equal and we all have a great time. This is a serious question from a newbie and not a shot at members just in case my angry lil buddy from the south is reading.

You know come on here and speek your mind .As far as entitlement I have none .I as an indivdual have earned the respest of others on here .I have been called all kinds of thangs from members but helt my head high and defended my self against them all .If you do not like what is said come on here and let us members that make this club and BB what it is .I dont know who your personal enimy down south is .Just come around and make yourself known like i have .Defend yourself if you feel you are right .I did and i should that i could argue with the best of them .Go to different threads and express your opion as i did .Ido not know who ekinder is or what his thoughts are .Just come around and have some fun .WHAT WAS YOU FRONT NAME BEFORE CANT FIND THIS ONE ANY WHERE .

I have to say this is fishy. I became a life member in 1990. Since then they've stopped my magazines, stopped responding to the testing program applications, and according to this website (which I just was able to get in for the first time), I've been demoted to an "official" member which expired in 1995.....WTF! Did I die in 1995 and no one told me? Come on NAHC get your act together or refund my entire life member dues

This club uses the free gear stuff as a lure to get new members as we all know. Some folks take it too seriously one way or another. I myself buy my own gear for hunting(something we all love to do)and not depend on the club to provide me with stuff. I don't feel like I've been scammed. I enjoy the mag and web site. This two cents worth coming from a Trophy Life Member

The clubs ad on facebook specifically says you WILL get items to field test, however it never says how long it will take to get something! It might be 50 years or 6 months.

Personally I find the information and tips I pick up in these forums to be worth more than the magazine that often never finds it's way here.

SC I wonder if that's an update or change, since SS came along? I've never seen the ad on fb, and I've never visited the NAHC site on fb, either.
