IMO that was not a very smart move if that is the only reason you joined the Club. If you were a regular member and still paying yearly dues when you are so dissatisfied, I would say you need to get some help! Being a LM, there is not much you can do but figure you will recoup your money on what the magazine would cost, but if you use this BB to your advantage it is worth a lot of money IMHO!!!

Can not undestand why someone would join a club just to get free stuff. It`s all about hunting not freebies. |

Since I have been a LM for over 10 years, I think I have already gotten my money's worth of magazines, even if I haven't won any of the contests, or gotten anything to field test. |

rreseburg, sorry you feel that way, I have been a lifer since 99' and while I have received a few things to test they have not been anything worth writing home about. The only suggestion I could make would be to make sure that your information is current on this site for product testing and maybe call into the club to ensure they have the info. As far as the responses above regarding the site as a benefit, When I joined there was no mention of a site. So what was offered was: Free field test products, free club magazines, gear giveaways, free leather jacket, free membership plaque, etc.... I would like to see any information that the members got that mentioned the site or the "chat room" as a benefit, not saying it was not there, but I never saw it. It is true that the site does make it somewhat worth it, but there are a number of free sites out there as well. The one thing that we need to realize when we as club members respond to a post like yours is that these were things that were promised to each of us upon signing up. If I am a car dealer and you buy a car from me, you see tires on the car, when you get ready to drive it off the lot I remove them. Did I treat you fairly ? All I am saying is the club could re-word the statements about the give-aways and the field test products so that they do not say "You will Receive" to "You MAY receive". All I am saying is when we have a member that is upset, why not try to make constructive suggestions instead of pouncing on them and giving them a hard time. Top I have to say I think your post was very harsh.

LS---After reading your remark and going back over my post, I would have to agree that it probably wasn't one of my better ones! That was basically my longtime enforcement background coming out where I saw so many people get scammed because they thought they were going to get something for nothing! If that is why someone joins this Club, as eagle1953 stated, it doesn't make much sense! A little thought on how a company could possibly do that with good items to all the people and stay in business should prevent a lot of problems!!! I guess people's eyes light up when they see "free" and they don't really look at the whole situation the way it should really be assessed. Sorry I was a little terse with this gentleman!!!

I have to say I have not been a member very long. Lifelong hunter though. I joined and signed up to test gear and just recieved the two man Rigid Whitetail hunting blind complete with quadpod kit delivered to my house. I have to say that is a very big piece of equip to test. I have just completed install and I hope they do not want me to send in review until I can hunt out of it later this year. |

Do you travel to hunt a lot? Do you camp when you hunt? How many different situations can you be put in when hunting? If you only hunt 1 or 2 species a year in one state that will not give a good feedback as to how a particular product works. I for one travel to about 5 different states deer hunting every year. 3 during turkey season, and everywhere east of the mississippi for upland bird hunting. some people dont have that option and if a developer had a product to test would they want it tested in the most diverse situations all around? Or in one local area? I would want it tested all over to see how well it works all over the country. |

I've recieve a couple of things, spray can of SW cleaner, still using it, great to have on hand. The big item if yould call it that was a duck plucker. That was realy cool to have and test. I was quite excited to put it together and put it to use. I even called the designer and talked to him for 30 min about it. Gave me a few tips on using it and care/cleaning suggestions. So, make sure your enrolled in the program and wait. Things will show up sooner or later. |

I am so glad to hear someone say something about this. I read the BB's and I getting so tired of what I read (I am not happy I want free stuff) and what is a shame its adults that are crying, sounds like children. There is so much you can do with the club like finding out about hunts, video's,magazine, different forum's etc. Not to mention I get offers like the new knive set they have. I did not have to buy it but I wanted a knive collection and they are really nice. I would like to also say that if those people would like for the club to get better they need to get more involved and STOP the crying. |

Being a member for about 10 yrs I have only recieved 3 items to test and none in about the last 4 yrs. Two of the items came during seasons that were not conductive to testing at that time but 2 of the three products were nice and I still use the jacket every winter. Now that all being said I think what I have enjoyed the most about the club has been meeting new people (and I'm not the most outgoing person) or gleaning information from the BB. |

ArmyPA---I also think that your last sentence tells it like it is and is the big benefit of being in this Club, especially meeting people that share the passion for hunting that you can get together with on hunts and GTs!!!!!

Coonstantly reading about how people are dis-satisfied because they don't get stuff to try is getting really old. One would think these people would take note and make a good decision after reading these repeated complaints. They got nobody to blame but themselves. And in my opinion, to join just for the stuff is foolish spending. |
