A friend has a US Revolver 32 cal revolver .
He wants to give it to me as a $50.00 down payment on another pistol I have that he wants.
It's not in perfect shape, but looks to be shootable,
In searching around for info I think these where kindof a budget model of an Iver Johnson topbreak style pistol.
Can anyone confirm that?
Are they generally 32 S&W Long caliber or another 32 ?
Just wondering if its worth the $50.00 which is exactly what he paid for it!

If you Google US Revolver, Iver Johnson comes up in parethaseses. If you google Iver johnson, Gun Digest has a downloadable PDF file on I J arms. If you can find any sort of model #, that may help you narrow things down. Don't know for sure but I don't think most Ivers are worth much.

The US revolver is a LONG defunct firearm. Most do sell in the $50 range. The .32 cal could be either .32 S&W Long or .32 short BIG difference ! Try Gunbroker.com and go to Revolvers ,select .32 and a few will probaly pop-up in the listing. If you do accept the revolver,First have it checked thoroughly by a gunsmith so there are no surprises! I have a Ruger single-six .32 magnum with a birds head grip that shoots magnums and .32 longs The longs offer a loud pop as opposed to the BAM of the magnum and is more fun to shoot .

Tell him you prefer a $50.00 bill and move on.
