A former seal sniper who is touted as the deadliest sniper ever was killed in Waxahachie, Tx a week ago Saturday.  His name is Chris Kyle.  He was at a range with a friend and a former Marine suffering from ptsd trying to be a friend and to help this guy deal with his problem when the guy suddenly turned and opened fire on Kyle and his friend.  Killing both of them.  Kyle is going to be buried in Austin tomorrow.  His friend was layed to rest this past week.  His friend was also an Afghan vet.  The major thing that bothers me about what happened is.  President Obaminasion Never said a thing about it.  Or, even bothered to contact his widow. Actually, there is two things that bothers me about this.  He saved an entire squad in Afghanistan when he made a 2300 meter shot on an insurgent about to shoot this squad with an RPG.  Obamination had the country put the flags at half staff for those kids in Conn.  Every time recently that the flag was at half staff was for people who wheren't ever in the military.  Proper eticate for this is for war heroes or presidents.  No one else gets the honor of a flag at half staff.  This guy killed more enemy than any other sniper has ever killed in any conflict. He wrote a book about it.  I don't remember what title of it is

Did you happen to see the pics of the POTUS awarding the newest Medal of Honor recipient his Medal yesterday ? If not try and find the pics and take a look for yourself and then tell me what you think of them. He has a look on his face of utter disgust just after hanging the Medal around the SSGT's neck.

Big Dawg, I saw that ceremony. The POTUS was there because he had to be there. I gree twith you abou the  look on his face. This guy has no more respect for this nation than those we are supposed to be fighting. IF this guy procalimed to be a conservative or were in fact a Republican he would have been impeached within the first 6 months of his first term. I have to wonder what he has he os holding over the heads of Congress that keeps so many seemingly in his corner?

'rig-

As far as Chris Kyle getting killed goes, you know what they say.....
He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword. Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn't make sense.

Maybe I should have been a little more... Specific. When I said "they", I should have said Ron Paul. That was a direct quote from his blog after he found out what happened to Kyle.
Me? I think Kylemwas a hero, and enjoyed his book thoroughly.

Col. LD Potter I got an e-mail from him the other day, thats where I got the Koala joke. The question is Radar O'Holly is in AZ did he find him?

Yep YH saw the Ron Paul satement, as I said in another post I agree with Paul on the live by the Sword die by the Sword. But Kyle died doing what he liked helping a fellow vet and a sport he liked.. I do not agree with the part of the statement that it was foolish to take the vet with PTSD to the range, we all know how therapeutic, shooting sports can be. I have not seen any follow up by Paul on that Statement, I would hope he was thinking Kyle may have bitten off more than he could chew, in not knowing or understnding what he could actually be deeling with.

Thanks copperhead.
No, I didn't see the ceremony.  I heard about it though.  Here's another one to  show how the potus and his wife are.  If you watched the state of the union speach.  He mentioned the girl who was killed right after she got home after being in D.C. for the swearing in ceremonies.  Although it was sad that that had happened.  Michele went to her funeral.  They had her mother in the chambers and recognized her during the speach.  Not one word about Kyle and what he was about or what he was trying to do.  That really is therepudic.  It sounds wierd.  But it does help.  The shooter snnapped for some reason.  My  dad came back from WW ll with shell shock which is known as as ptsd now.  He didn't talk  much about his experiences before he was wounded in Bastogne.  But, He would sit down and watch Victory at Sea every Sunday.  He liked to watch the different war movies like Bridge of the River Kwai,  To Hell and Back,  and others.  It was like therepy for him to get over it. Which he never did fully.  He would wake us screaming in his sleep.  He was like that until he died in 1975.

No Not for Kyle. Every time you turned around recently. They were being flown for somebody . It was really getting to me. Although it was sad that those kids weremurdered in Conn. They didn't warrant the flag flying at half mast for them by proper eticate of the flying of the flag.

No, It wasn't flown for Kyle.  Although those kids And teachers/ principle getting murdered was sad.  That didn't warrant the flag beign flown at half mast under the criteria of the proper eticate of treatment of the flag.
