can't believe there are people stupid enough to give thier antique guns (or any other guns for that matter) for $100.  I do not own a gun that I would sell for less than  at least $300, if you could get me to sell it at all
so goes the church, so goes the nation

I'm glad they turned them in for pennies vs true value. That kind of stupidity indicates they shouldn't own a gun in the first place.

I don't sell guns. I might trade one for another, but to actually sell one.........no way! Even as hard up as I've been for cash since my strokes, I've never considered selling.
NRA LM, NAHC LM, Buckmasters LM, Second Amendment Foundation, GOA, NAGR, Palmetto Gun Rights, DU, NWTF, QDMA, Everyday Hunter,OYOA, ASAdspalliance,D& DH, and PROUD SC redneck REBEL for life. If the South had won the war, Obama wouldn't be in the White House.

When I was 29 I made the mistake of getting "seasonally inspired" in the Spring and let 4 guns go as part of a trade for a Kawasaki ZL900, I've regretted it ever since.

BTW, Karma got even with me for that deal, the bike was stolen 13 days later

What is it about motorcycles, and young men?? LD, I did the same thing, back in the '50s'. Had a beautiful 1899 Savage presentation, kit gun, in a dandy leathercase, with all 4 barrels. I traded that sucker for a '48 Indian, Bonneville Chiefton.
Folks often ask, If I wish I still had that gun. Yup, it would be worth a few bucks now, but, I'd rather have that Indian!
I haven't traded or sold a gun in the past 40 years. I've probably accumalated over 100 since, but, from time to time, I run into a youngster, that wants to go huntin'. I eventually end up given'um one of my guns.
