A Hunting Buddy..?

In the news this week, a Southern California man was put under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found he owned 100 guns and had (by rough estimate) 1 million rounds of ammunition stored in his home. The house also has a secret escape tunnel.

The television reporter said: "Wow! He has about a million machine gun bullets!"  A
nd the headline referred to it as a "massive weapons cache".

By California standards someone owning even 100,000 rounds would be called "mentally unstable".

If he lived elsewhere, such as Arizona , he'd be called "an avid gun collector."

In Oklahoma , he'd be called "a novice gun collector".

In Utah , he'd be called "moderately well prepared", but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food.

In Montana , he'd be called "the neighborhood 'Go-To' guy".

In Idaho , he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate".

In Wyoming , he'd be called "an eligible bachelor".

and...

In Texas , he'd be called "a Hunting Buddy"............
" America is at that awkward

The television reporter said: "Wow! He has about a million machine gun bullets!" Where did it say he had any machine guns, or that the ammo was machine gun ammo? The liberal media strikes again!!!!!

As I started reading this, I thought of one of my shooting/NRA Instructor/hunting friends of mine. He doesn't have the tunnel, but he does have a detached building out back, made of reinforced concrete with steel plate lining, the size of a three car garage, with wall to wall gun safes along all four walls of the building. The safes are full with more firearms stacked up on a workbench in the middle of the room. His ammunition is stored in three gun safes in his house.
When he calls to go shooting, it's nothing for him to bring a couple dozen firearms (handguns, shotguns, rifles) and there's usually at least a couple there that are new and never been fired. This past weekend it was a new Browning 1911-22, and a Kimber Super Carry Pro.

Yep, Texas Huntin Buddy

LOL If somone here in Texas has less than a Thousand rounds, and one gun they are a Liberal Anti-gunner.
The 1st Amendment insures our Right to speak out when it or our other Rights are Transgressed. The 2nd insures the 1st. Native Texan
