I'm not saying that it's the case in the Newtown shootings, but my sister has struggled with mental illness her whole life. For the majority of her life she has self medicated with just about anything she could find at the time.

Wasn't there a thread on here about medicating children, for behavior disorders, and more and more children being given meds to calm them, even though they may have just been being kids with no real disorder. And the effects of the meds. Guns are just easier to blame. And how many gun advertisements do you see on TV and in the media verses Medication Ads. To much money involved to even remotely imply legal prescribed meds may have had any thing to do with it.

You know Ckell..Ive often wondered the same thing, If kids were over medicated.I guess weapons are easier to blame than the medication that is given out to our
'mentaly disturbed".

Going after meds does not fit their agenda, don't think it's a matter of ease. Wonder how much in contributions are made to the politicians screaming for gun control from these med companies. I'm sure they would like to see more drugs pumped into the kids, makes them easier to control.
