Yup, they just want them out of our hands. They don't care about stats and/or data. It's all about control.

Apparently some don't remember what happened November 6th and the slogan forward.

This is a done deal... gun control will be initiated in order to continue the path this administration has chosen. America has to be disarmed for their own good and many Americans believe this. How else can government save us from ourselves and get away with violating their oaths of office and the supreme law of the land.

"The BIG Lie" The phrase was also used in a report prepared during the war by the United States Office of Strategic Services in describing Hitler's psychological profile:[5][6] His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.[7]

With 40 k gun laws on the books it is about time they enforce them rather than make new laws.

All of their energy is going into banning guns right now, once that is done they will move onto the next thing they don't like. And right now they are riding an emotional wave, as they will on the next thing.

Since actual "assault weapons" are already strictly regulated, let's admit that the current intent is to ban semi-automatics, rifles, shotguns, and handguns. I am totally pizzed at any one who insists on calling an AR an assault weapon. The most distressing thing about this is that gun owners, gun organizations, gun sites, and every swinging d*ck that should know better, is also calling these semi-automatics, "assault weapons"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rt I agree with you. But I don't think it matters what we call them. What does the AR in AR15 stand for and who called it that in the first place. They are riding an emotional wave, of grief, hate and revenge, there is little reasoning with people like that. No matter the cause of it. Not even truth, facts or reasoning, they want blood and it does not matter whos it is, or how they get it, or who they hurt getting it. They want others to feel the same pain they feel, anyone even tring to reason with them they will attack. As uncareing,  un-feeling, ignorant, stupid. You need not look far, in this forum to see that.

Sorry Gut no disrespect, nor hurtful intentions meant here, but this is a prime example; " Gutpile; What do you say to the father, mother, grandfathers , grandmothers, and other close relatives of a SEVEN MONTH OLD killed two weeks before Christmas by a drunk driver at 9AM? The car was ripped in two breaking the seatbelt and throwing the infant in the infant seat 100ft. It was the drivers second offense and she was out on bail the next day. This took place in a small town under 1500 pop. The judge is the business partner of the drunks father. The DA has asked that the judge step down there has yet to be a deciesion but the DA has said there is no way he will allow this judge to hear the case".

And I said how about the Fathers, Mothers, Grandparents and family of the 20 Children who were gunned down in that school, they to want this to never happen again, and we call the anti-gunners unreasonable. Reason in all things not just those we have a personel interest in. It all ties togather.

AR stands for Armalite Rifle! They were the first company to manufacturer the Stoner designed M-16 for the military, and subsequently the civilian AR-15. Colt began making the M-16, and the Armalite Company went into civilian semi-auto production. AR has always been identified with the civilian semi-automatic rifle which only cosmetically resembles an M-16.

The semantics are indeed relevant, since a ban on semi-automatic rifles and shotguns would not only ban the AR style gun, but also all semi-automatic guns, through extension!!!!!!!  Say goodbye to Browning A-5, versamax, Remington 1100, Benelli, Stoeger, Winchester, and etc.!!!!!!!!!!!!  Remember that the anti-gun crowd also wants to ban all pump action guns that can have a modified stock attached to them, and the Glocks, Sigs, XDs S&W , Taurus, Kimber, Ruger, and every other semi-automatic handgun on the market falls into the same blanket category.  The liberals aren't going to stop at guns, ie., the "tactical bow" used by the punk to assault and kill his father in the classroom, and the knife he used to finish the job, kill the father's girlfriend, and then commit suicide will also eventually be on the chopping block.  Hell, there are already states that have bans on certain types of pocket knives, and skinning knives over a certain length.

True but many are confused, believeing it stands for Assault Rife. Few know the history of the Stoners gun much less any other rifle that fallowed. Few know what AK stands for in AK 47.

And that is exactly what the anti-gun crowd wants. Ignorance of the facts!!!!!! My point is that gun owners shouldn't be ignorant of the facts, and shouldn't use the same terminology. Let's call a semi-automatic gun what it is, and let's call a magazine what it is, since it's not a damn clip!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's really quite simple...Read my by line... it explains it all!

We have a country full of simpletons... ready to give up all their liberties for a few crumbs from the evil ones.
