Tn boy here looking for a place to hunt mulies in Wyoming. Can anyone recommend an area that has decent public access, where I could at least SEE some mule deer? It would not have to be a record book buck (Although that would be sweet!), but just a nice, respectable buck. I would like to combine a antelope hunt. I hunted goats last year in 72, but everyone around there said it wasn't good for mulies.

I'm not asking for anybody's honey hole, just an area with public access where I can SEE some anyway.
I have a Garmin, and will be buying the hunting gps map card for it. So once I get there, I'll know where I am.

I just figure I better go while I still can. I would probably draw a region tag, but if I could narrow it down to an area where I could concentrate on it. I was looking at the Thunder Basin Grasslands. Are there any mule deer in that part of the world?

You can reply here or email me at:  bigrockreb@msn.com

Thanks so much for any help!! I posted this in some other places, too. Hoping to get seen.

Greg

I live in Wyoming, check out my muley pics on my profile page. I would recommend southwest Wyoming you have a ton of access if you are able to get out and walk. I wouldn't recommend it as much if you aren't physically fit as it is very rugged terrain.
