Saw a show on tv (Winchester legends with Bob Foulkrod) they were hunting there. They were hunting mule and whitetail deer. I like the idea of over the counter tags in texas. Will be driving out to Dallas to watch a football game with the wife (her idea). Does anybody have any info?

Thank you

For the most part, seasons are closed. General season for Whitetail closed on Jan 1st, with a special late season for spikes and antlerless going until Jan 15th. Mule deer season closed Dec 4th.

Am looking for information on going there possibly next season or the following. Spending this kind of money I will be doing alot of research. Want to do a free range mule deer white tail combo hunt in Texas with my rifle. Looking for a place with a lodge. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
