Hi all
i am planning a hunting trip in Montana.
i am asking anyone who may have information 
about a good guide service please let me know,
i am 71 yrs old and this will be a once in what's 
left of my lifetime adventure. looking to bag a 
big muley and or a monster whitetail.

You might contact Black Otter Guide Service (http://www.blackotterguideservice.com/) and find out what they can do for you. Did not hunt deer with them but I can tell you that Gary is a hard working, easy going, stand up guy, with a lot of experience guiding. It is not a long ride into camp and the horses are gentle. If you send an email Ruth will get back to you almost immediately.

You did say you were interested in Montana but have you considered Colorado for mulies? I hunted in the NW corner a couple of times, once on a lease and once with a guide and have two very nice racks on my wall. The outfitters in that area seem to do mostly spot and stalk from pickup trucks.
Any Place This Good Needs Weather This Bad For This Long To Keep The Riff-Raff Out.

You an old fart! One year older than me!
Can't really give you advice since it has been years since i hunted or fished MT.....and then it was a bud who got us on private land.....guess I am an azzhole to current hunters.....but budddies and free are good!

thanks for your post Yooper, yes we have considered Colorado, my nephew will be going with me and he wants to hunt Montana for a whitetail, and since this trip is on him, i'll settle for what ever choice he makes. i will check out the web address that you posted. thanks again.
