We got the 1st hunt (week of 23rd)

Who's hunting this spring?

I got the 2nd hunt, 30th-6th....

I will be in Yankee Springs, and some private land here by the house
Taking up the DNR on the $7.50 license for my daughter for her first thunder chicken chase....

I got the 23rd as well Matt L

grab the last hunt this year because of family doings and since it work last year i was hoping fer it again this year. looks like a bad choice fer me......eh

I'm kinda wishin I'd just got the guaranteed hunt myself....I'm having to bust my hump getting work done so I can go.
I'll be up in the Kalkaska area.
Bill, you'll do ok just keep the calling to a minimum.

Mid day in the later season can be a lot of fun...hens on the nest and the toms will be looking and listening for that lonely girl...gobble,gobble, BANG!

....yeah but that BANG! sound might just be Bill hitting it with his van. hehehe kidding Bill.

i know ya are matt........that bang sound might be coming from my van thou.....probly me banging my head off of it fer anther blow'n chance.....heheheheheheeee

i know what you guys are saying.....most of my birds that i have gotten is by doing just what ya both are saying

Hers beats mine. 23-24 lbs, 1 1/4" spurs, 10 1/2" beard.

Got him 7:15 a.m. on the 27th

my hunt starts today....but won't get a chance until wed. ta go out.

Went out calling last night, my turkey calls brought in one flock of sandhill cranes, two flocks of geese and lots of other lil birds. Today I think I will try my goose calls, or maybe a yote tube. But my decoys looked pretty. lol
