Massachusetts bear numbers increasing 8% annually

Images-1 The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife says residents in certain regions of the state can expect more sightings and encounters with black bears in the future. That's because the bruin population is estimated to be growing at a rate of 8 percent annually, with nothing in place to keep numbers in check--like a hunting season. Telegram & Gazette.

Looks like ill be getting a bear permit next season then if the numbers keep increasing

I'd be interested as well. A buddy went out here in Central Mass. They're here but not in great numbers so I'm not sure how productive that would be. Lets join forces and help each other out.
