Anyone hunt public land sika on eastern shore?

I've been a whitetail hunter since I could legally carry a gun and now that I'm stationed at Fort Meade, I'd love to give sika hunting on the eastern shore a try.  I'm completely new to sika hunting, so I'm looking for some tips.
I got my application for hunting Blackwater National Refuge, but that's a pretty far drive to just go hunt without a decent game plan.  I'm open to bow hunting, muzzleloader, or shotgun.  I am a 'do it myself' kind of guy, so I won't be dropping any money on private guided hunts.
Any recommendations?

public land in dorchester county(namely elliots island) is prime for sika. worchester county also...those are the only two places i have experience with sika, however anywhere you find the marsh you can find sika...good luck to you

Check out Ellis Bay WMA in Wicomico Co. I hunt private land nearby and always hear bugling coming from that property and I have trail cam pics of sika coming from that direction. Plus I don't think it is hunted very much either. Word to the wise, wear some high boots as it tends to be very wet in that area which makes it perfect for sika.

Know nuttin about Sika in MD but know two guys who just recently asked for transfer out of your fine State because of gun laws........
