Anybody going to put in for the special hunts on the military reservations ? Like Crain or Atterbery..You need a partner.with a license.buddy system only..I'm free..You can shoot buck or doe..Its been years ,but the last time I got in to the Atterbery hunt it was no limit ..they had so many deer that they were a traffic hazard. I got a nice buck and my pal (now gone under) got two,one a doe.You have to put in for the hunts early,July..WHAT DO YOU  SAY ?

Sorry, count me out.I've never put in for those hunts.Nothing against them just never have.I hunt around my home where I can use the 4 wheeler to drag them out of the woods.

I don't know if the new place I MIGHT be hunting this year will allow me to bring someone with me or not.I'll have to ask IF we ever get permission. If I get to hunt behind my dad's house,it wouldn't be a problem,it's not very big though which is the only problem there.Where do you live,I live in Portland which is about an hour South of Ft.Wayne.

I'm in Indianapolis ..your a bit out of the way for me to join you in hunting your area..We can use the buddy systom to get into the hunts at Atterbury. Crains a longer drive..I'v allways got a shot at these hunts,so meny hunters they keep the deer moveing. They will not let you in alone. All my hunting pals have moved on or past away.Ed

Yeah you're a little bit out of my way too. With my health I don't like going more than an hour away from home. It's too hard on my legs. Sorry to hear about all your buddies. I have to hunt by myself most the time too.

When and if you are drawn in the drawning to hunt on military bases . They send you and your buddy instructions on where an when to report in..so you drive there and report in and wate for your budd to report in...then they give you a area to go to..but not until sunup..then every goes at the same time..talk about keeping the deer moveing..its greate..I go about 20 yards into the woods or what looks like a good spot and wate..sooner or later deer will show up...what say ?
