Hello all.  It's been a long time since I was last on here.  Used to have the handle of Tmbr2.

Question is, how long does it usually take to get your card after check is cashed? I was stupid and didnt checkmy card till the begining of oct and my card expired in Sept.  Took picture and sent application in right away, They cashed the check last Wed.  I amsupposed to be leaving next thur for first season just like a lot of others.  Also have any of you dealt with this problem while hunting, what do the Game Wardens say?

Hello and greetings to you, haven't ever dealt with the Conservation police but based on the info I heard from one who did a presentation at the Hunters Ed class I took my kids to an expired FOID card is no good, no exceptions, and based on what I heard in the recording to the State Police while waiting on hold to change my address is they are back logged and expect 30 to 60 days after check clears, you can go to the IDNR site click foid and submit an inquiry or call the State Police FOID # 217-782798hope this helps

I am hoping for the best for you but I wouldn't count on it coming in by then.

That's what I was afraid of.  I have tried calling several times, all I get is the busy tone.  Keep watching for a Conservation officer to ask the question, and find out what kind of fine there is even.  If it's along the lines of an uncased gun in the vehicle or if it's confiscation of the weapon.  Depending on the answer I may chance it still.

You can't go. If you get a deer and check it in they got you. It won't be a slap on the wrist.

Well then it looks like I will be a dog for the first season then.  Have to try and get out again for late season.  Have to remember to get that dang form in on time in 10 more years.

Well here we are middle of January and still no card. I'm really getting ticked off about this. Does anyone know if there is anyone I can call besides the constant busy signal phone number that they list for inquiries. Oh and their automated inquiry system doesn't work either. I've sent 3 requests, and not one response.
