I just moved to GA from WI.  Been really excited to get down here and get into a treestand...something different than WI for a change. Anyone have recommendations on decent hunting close to Marietta/Cobb county.  I'm going to school down here for the next 3.5 years and would love to find a place to escape, never hunted hogs either.  I'd do a hunt club but funds are tight right now due to school and the recent move.  Any help is greatly appreciated, also willing to work for opportunities if it is an option.  Thanks-

Thanks a lot Mike. I was starting to wonder why I even got a membership on here...no one replies to threads and haven't received any magazines or test products yet. I have looked on GON, very informative sight. Can't find much on sheffield other than one thread regarding new land purchased. Do you hunt WMA's or hunt club? I am starting to think hunt clubs are the way to go, just have to find one cheap enough and close enough to justify at this point in the year. Thanks again, best of luck this season!

Ima Ga native, but living in NC for a few more years. Ive got proprty down in camden county I hunt. Hunt clubs are usually the way to go, prices vary greatly. Further south lower price and better chance of getting on property with hogs.

Much appreciated. Best of luck in NC if you get chances to hunt. Hoping to get around to a few of the surrounding states while I'm down here as well. My girlfriend just had one her friends (also from WI) and her husband move down to Kingsland. Who knows, maybe we'll bump into each other sometime. Thanks again for the replies-

its possible, kingsland is only about 15 miles from my place, straight down 17. Being from WI, if you get down that way go over to folkston to the okefenokee.
