There are several RLUs for lease in North Georgia ranging from 62-167 acres. I am thinking about securing one for a hunt club, anyone interested?

The three areas are in Cherokee County, right up 85 from you.

Sorry,

Haven't answered right away, was away hunting. Cherokee County would be awesome. That is where I work, I am a firefighter for the county. Just let me know the next step.

Just need to get a few other folks, it will run about 2K per year for the lease and insurance that is required.

How many people are interested? Is it just you & I. I can probably get two more people that I know if that would help us out.

The more the better! With 5 or 6 people the cost would be around $400-500 a year.

Still looking. With the economy tanking I may not be able to do this as soon as I wanted to.

tanking aint the word for it. some times I have less than thirty dollars at the end of the week. I dont drink and I dont party. Im just trying to get get by. Ten years ago the amount of money I make would be considered good money. But thats enough about politics. when can someone in our situation just get to enjoy some of the simple things in life like when it comes to hunting. Its not that its an exspensive sport. But having access to land is what is exspencive. Thats what makes this club that kind of opertunity that it is. we have the opertunity to get to know people and by knowing people your hunting opertunities are exspanded. If you know poeple with land. And you know them well they may let you hunt on it. So long as you dont disrespect them of their property. and above all dont become someone who is just taking advantage of them. I guess what I am trying to say is that you have to work out somekind of deal with them so that they are getting somekind of benifit out of letting you hunt their land. Sorry for the rambling  I this is not exactly what you are looking for in a responce but you caught my attention with the comment about the economy tanking. How about ship wrecked. and almost fubar.

I live in South Carolina and have been looking for a club to join and haven't found anything around close. But if I have to travel I would rather it be to Georgia. Let me know the details when you make up your mind so we may meet and figure the rest out.The more members in a club means maybe the more land and better quality land we can lease.

For members over the number of 2 the 167 acres would be to small for everyone to hunt at the same time. I would suggest that you visit the area/location where you are wanting to hunt and buy a local newspaper and put an ad in the classifieds for what you want and you might get lucky in that a local resident that owns more acreage would be willing to lease for hunting. I live 20 miles north of Atlanta and hunting land has become hard to come by for the good locations and acreage. I am only making suggestions and in no way trying to tell you what to do. Best of luck and if you find a larger tract of land for a reasonable price per year I would be interested and have a best friend whi is another Veteran who would ost likely be interested as well.
