Archery season opens in September. I am going to scout the area and look for opportunty shots. I drew a limited quota permit for the general gun season Nov-Dec. With all of the recent rain I am expecting a lot of water. This area is generally dryer that other BIg Cypress areas. DZ

I know of a strand off Concho Billy (Turner River Unit) trail about 6 miles in that has turkey.... the probelm with turkey are that the panthers snack on them... same reason there are no small pigs there as well. As far as bucks... Bear island the the most easily accessible unit in Big Cypress so it gets the most hunting presure. I wouldn't mind going into the walk in area off I 75 myself this year.
