Hey everyone, I hope your having a great holiday season.
So I am a little embarrassed to ask but its killing me.  I am an avid bow hunter for over 10 yrs now.  The last time I took a rifle to the woods was late(xmas day) 2006.  And let me just say, how you hunt is your choice as long as you follow the state and property regulations and laws.
Anyway, as of today I have taken exactly 0 deer this season.  I have hunted every weekend since bow opener, which here in GA Was Sept. 8.  I have had an incredible season in that it is my first in a hunting club and I have seen more and biggeer deer than I ever have.  However, when it comes down to closing the deal I cant get it done.  I've been very fortunate that I have only spooked a cpl of deer in all the interactions I have had, but I cannot seem to squeeze the trigger on one.
Now I know, its been a successful season, because, well a ton of reasons, but I am hungry and I love deer meat.  So please give me some ideas on how to get within range, this late in the season, when it seems the deer are completely nocturnal. Used to I would take my 12 ga into the pines and find a cpl, but not many bow shots avail there.
Little help?

What have you done differently than you have in the past ten years to cause poor results? Too many hunters in the woods maybe? Bowhunting is usually a loner sport for best results. Did you do any drives with the club members during gun season?
Not much to do now but stalk into the wind near bedding or wait at the edge of fields/food sources.

Do mini drives with 1 or 2 pushers just taking slow walks to get the bucks up and moving and eventually you may get a buck to stop within bow range. If by accident if me or my hunting buddy have a buck tag left thats what we do and it usually works in our favour. We usually do it the last couple days of our bow season. Just slow walks to get the deer moving away from the driver, you don't want them running. Hope that helps you, Good Luck.

My guess would be to hunt as close to bedding areas as you dare, playing the wind of course. Good Luck!
