I have a tree stand from 2007, it is a 2 man 16 foot ladder stand. The property owner was clearing some trees and hit the ladder with his bulldozer, bending the middle section of the ladder. I need a replacement 4 foot section. the website on the the warning label gives a phone number for primal vantage company, and they said they no longer have or produce sections for stands prior to 2011 and that current sections would not work in old stands. I cant find just ladder sections anywhere online. Does anyone know where I can look to get just a 4 ft section of ladder for my stand. Thanks. |

Different manufacturers use different width ladders, so you would need the measurements. With that being said, contact Ameristep or Summit and they might sell the sections separately. If that doesn't work, perhaps a local welding shop could fabricate a new section for you. |

12 feet should be enough elevation for most stand locations.

I have know idea were you live but if it happened to me. I would check and see if there is a local welder or metal fabricator in your area that could build you a new section if you really have to have that one fixed. |

The landowner that lets me hunt his property welded some 1" square metal tubing together to give himself a nice set of ladder steps, and all of the metal was scrap that someone he knew was getting rid of. If you cant find just sections then I would look into having someone weld you a section. |

I will be Hunting out of a Tree Stand for the 1st time this year(Crossbow). For me I think a Two man Ladder would work best(like the extra space). My question is, With so many different kinds out there what would be the best to buy? I'm 65yo.,6',225 lb's, and hunting sw Ga.. Thanks, Chuck |

Again, either Ameristep or Summit. Ameristep is very inexpensive, but sturdy; I have one two man ladder stand made by them that has been on the same tree for over 5 years with no problems. |
