We had a 10-12 mph wind quartering left to right. It took 6-8 shots but we walked it in. I told him it was 50% spotter 20% shooter and 30 % luck. He was a designated maksman in the Marines so he knows how to shoot.

I'd say those %'s are just about right.
How many inches of dope with that 10-12 mph wind at 700 yards ?
I shoot a .204 (20gr. V-max) at ground squirrels (even smaller than P-dogs) at 300-400 yards and I can tell you, wind matters.
Anyway congrats, that's damm good shootin !!!

Sorry I didn't get back sooner Dowling. He was around 3-4 foot windage shooting a 40 gr honady. I've seen those little bugers you chase, nice shooting. Just got a call from another rancher that wants his dogs thinned out. {actully gone} If it's nice one of the days this Memorial Day we're going to go out and kill a few on a new place. Been thinkng of trying to make a part time money maker out of this fun. That 204 is a nice caliber for playing. I'm using a 22-250 AI 52gr A-max 748 powder. Getting right at 4000 fps. We team up side by side and clean up.
