Will be taking my son for our first Father son Pheasant hunting here in Illinois at the Des Plaines Fish and Wildlife...been practicing with him on clay pigeons, he is pretty good, too bad my Lab is gun shy, but she loves to retrieve...hoping to have her around many more years, we are unseperable, but when she does pass I will get a new Black Lab and this time introduce him/her to guns early....but as for the hunt, scheduled for November if all goes well we may make a second attempt on our next weekend together....getting exciited, should be a good time....

Sounds like you’re in for a fun day. My oldest son is already 33 years old, but whenever we get together it’s always the reminiscing of the “Old Days”, of past hunts or fishing trips when he was a boy that seems to be the main topic of conversation. Now he has a son of his own and starting to build family memories of the outdoors with him. It’s nice to see some things getting pasted down to the next generation. Also next month his little family will become a little larger, they are expecting a daughter to be born around Thanksgiving.
