So my son and step-son are ten this year and can finally hunt birds. They drew on the fall youth hunt in Eastern Idaho and I am really excited for them. I have never hunted turkey before, but have a veteran who has agreed to guide us. The boy's guns are patterned, and I have access to some private land with a good number of birds on it. Has anyone else hunted turkey in Southeastern Idaho? If so, are there any pointers for a rookie like me?

So we had a great day today on the youth turkey hunt here in Southeastern Idaho. We were able to see over a hundred birds and my son got his first bird. The scatter technique really worked, but it was sure weird chasing off all the birds. I would add a pic if I knew how.
