Ok, I've seen the commercials and ads for this call SOOOOO many times, I've just gotta put this question at to everyone....Does anyone have any FIRST hand experience with this call and does it work like they "claim" it does????? Editing can do wonders for commercials, for all we know, those 3 toms running across the field were bumped by another hunter or a coyote. I just gotta know if people are having success with this call. lol

Did they advance any closer to your position, or just got their attention?Of all my friends that turkey hunt, none of us have ever heard this sound before coming from a wild turkey. Not saying it's not a legitamite sound, but with all the years combined in the field for us, not once has it been heard.

I have to agree, been chasing these wild birds for years and have watched the matings, with that in mind, my grandma raised domestic turkeys for nearly forty years and in all that time I have never heard one make that sound...as far as what will make the Toms come running depends on what day of the week, how many gooseberries it ate the night before and maybe what color flowers are blooming at that given moment...Took a lady turkey hunting once and when the bird got close... due to the excitement of the moment, she passed wind with the decible level of a couple of small jet engines..she had to shoot the frigging thing in the face in self defense or it would have run right over her....not saying that this call doesn't work, most likely (as with all calls) will work for some folks some of the time...but put this in the pipe and light it up...there aint no sure thing when it comes to them big ugly chickens....

I agree whole heartedly Two Tales! I was just hoping to get several responses from people and here what their experiences were. I don't plan on buying this call, I'm more concerned with trying to figure out why the toms do not like my decoys but the hens love them.

lol guys...actually, i didn't own ANY camo until 7 years ago(34 years old) and I still harvested a few deer each season and some turkeys as well. Back then, it was too dang difficult to find 3XL talls AND be able to afford them. Jeans, tshirts, sweatshirts,Carhartts, etc. was my hunting clothing until now.

The squealin hen helped me get two tom's this spring. The birds i was hunting are call wise,i have neighbors that hunt also. The setup i used included a Jake decoy w/fan the Primo's gobble call, HS squealin hen.The first tom came off the roost @ 6:00 & by 6:30 i had him mad enogh to close the gap to 30 yards bang. The second tom was taken almost a week later using the same type of set up. only i had to work him for an hour and a half, i was almost ready to do the belly crawl to close about a hundred yards when he finally folded up shop an came in at a dead run, so fast i didn't dare take the shot yet , he let out a big ol gobble as he ran over my jake ,when that head of his came up bang. Walked it off from where i sat to where the bird laid was exactly ten steps, man what a rush .

The squealin hen wil get you a response from a hung up bird, i don't think it is to be used by itself i think it is meant to play a role in a setup that will just piss a tom off and make him want to cme in and kick some jake ass and establish his territory.

Thank You 65 ! This is exactly the type of response I was looking for, whether it's good or bad. Just an honest real life first hand response. I have no plans on getting one this year or next year, but now that I've said that, I'll end up getting one. lol. The last 8-10 years, toms hanging up hasn't been the problem around me, it's just a low number of birds topped by the fact less and less landowners are willing to let people in to hunt. I have 2 parcels that I have permission to hunt, each about 25 acres and each surrounded by hi pressure hunting. My best chance at tagging a tom is in the first few days of season and hoping they roost on the property. I checked into the latest and greatest Haint gobbler and decided....no way I'm paying $60 for a gobble call! Thanks again for an honest real life testimonial.

I have been hunting spring birds for the last 15 years or so and have never heard the hen squeal. Does it work, I think any sound that is not threatening may cause a gobbler to at least stop. Why does a tom gobble at a peacock call when they have certainly never heard one in real life. Be very very careful using a gobble to call a bird. It may call in more than a gobbler and when the shooting stops you may not be with us anymore. Permission or not does not assure you are the only one in a particular piece of woods.

Ridge Runner, I couldn't agree with you more, specially with using the gobble call. Around my area, a smart and careful hunter will actually be more on the defense while hunting than on the offense. We have so many mannonites around her....they are not know for being the safest people in the woods. I'm not so sure they figured out how the yellow or orange signs grow on some trees and not others. lol

Saw this in the store the other day. Wondering if it is the same call (sure looked identical) that is blown differently to get the coyote sound.
