What is best weapon to use when hunting? I like my Remington 1100 12 gauge. What about y'all?

When does season come in Tennessee?

Stickin em with an arrow is pretty sweet but i typically use a benelli nova but this year im goin with a throwback from '82. Its a bolt action 12 gauge mossberg goose gun with a 30'' barrel and built in full choke. It patterned just as good if not better than my benelli at 30yds and thats with an extra full choke in the benelli. Season opens here in MN on the 18th

Logic would say that a .22 LR would be perfect but unfortunatly its only leagal to shoot them with eather a shot gun or an arrow. Out of the 2 choices a shot gun would be my first choice though it could be a fun chalange to try and get one with a bow. I really think any shot gun would work fine. Though you would have an advantage if you had a at least a 12 gage with 3" shells and a turkey choke. Also here you can only use #4, #5. or #6 shot. I have only used #4 because I figure it will give me the best group at a further distance. I have heard how hard these birds can be to hunt down south. Seems like whare I hunt the birds arent really that weary. I dont know if they just havent had that much hunting presher up here or what. Anyway I am going turkey hunting in 5 days and cant wait.
