Years ago I bought an inexpensive reloading program called Ballistics 101.  I think I paid something like $15 for the program and it came on 3 floppies.  Recently I had to buy a new computer and now the older ballistics program won't work with this latest version of Windows.  So, I need a new program.  Any suggestions that won't cost a fortune ?
Just think. If we weren't different, you'd be just like me !

There's a Ballistic calculator on HuntingNut.com

I used this one for many years, although I don't really visit it much anymore. I've found it's best to shoot and memorize where your bullet hits relative to your scope. If your scope has increments then that helps, otherwise other references in the reticle work.

If you are a avid reloader, and do a fair bit of shooting, I would reccomend www.ammoguide.com . I find that thier very reasonable subscription rate is well worth the information that they have to offer. They have every kind of program that any shooter would need, as a benifit available to the subcriber.
I have been a subscriber to thier site for about 10--12 years. IMO, it is the best reloading site available for the normal Extreme Firearms Enthusiast, such as my self! If I could only have one reloading site, that would be the one that I would pick!

I would recommend 2 programs. The first and better of the 2 is QuickLoad the second is Load From A Disk (LFAD). I usually use both to verify my loads before I try a new receipe. I also have QuickDesign which is really nice if you ever want to try to build a new Wildcat Round. All are well worth the money if you are a serious handloader.

Are you looking for internal or external ballistics? If it is internal then i second quickload if its external for in the field use for dial adjustments then look at x-bal and if you have a smart phone then a program called shooter its only 9.99 and it is great I personally use both x-bal and shooter.  X-bal has a computer based program for dial cards and other stuff and includes balistics for hundreds of factory loads to give you your adjustments in the field or on the bench.

Family is everything with out it you are lost. My prays and thanks go out to our troops and our vets everywhere thanks guys and gals for all you do for our freedom!!

With QuickLoad you also get a second program on the disk called QuickTarget. Great for external infomation. With Load From A Disk, it has a drop down box to calculate either internal or external information.
