Guys and Ladies could any one recommend a good spotting scope for less than $500.00? Here is the situation I have. I bought a cheap Simmons and it was unuseable for anyone wearing glasses at anything past 20X. Needless to say I returned it and started looking for a good quality spotting scope with decent eye relief at higher powers. Now that being said my farm has some very open and gently sloping land where the longest range would be 800 yards and the width of the shooting lane would be aproximately 400 yards. This is where I spend a majority of the preseason glassing to see where I need to place my stand or blind for the coming hunting season. Binoculars just are not cutting it anymore with my ageing eyes at these distances. Any help would be appreciated.

bushnell trophy 15-45. i have had a pair for about 20 years and never had any problems with them.don't know what they cost now but I only paid about 200 for mine

I just saw your comment regarding a scope from 2011.  Have you found one yet?  I have a great used Cabelas spotting scope I am selling and Cabelas Euro 12 X 50 binoculars.  Are you interested at all in either one of these?
