This sight is AWESOME!!! Put it on my DPMS rifle and it was almost zeroed right out of the box!! Very little adjustment to get zeroed on my rifle. Shot 200 rounds and was still on(unlike my laser it creeps off of zero). Excellent ease of use and adjustment of the brightness at your finger tips,facing you made adjusting for the lighting quick. I really like the case that it came in also for storing the sight. Took it off the rifle and put it back on and no change in point of impact. I am a right handed shooter that is left eye dominate and was able to shoot both eyes open and still hit target with no change in point of impact @50 yards. I can hardly wait for waterfowl season as I have fit it on my shotgun and tried it out as well, Ducks beware now it doesn't matter if I forget to close my left eye!!!! The only thing that I was surprised about with this sight is the size it was a little bigger than I had expected, but all in all this is the best close quarters sight I have ever used period, big change since the early to mid 80's red dot that I used in the Army and the ones I used hunting since. I feel that the Eotech 512 is worth every penny now that I have actually used it and wish I had bought one years ago instead of cheap imitations. This is one investment that you wont go wrong on , I would recommend this product and if you can't afford to just go pick one up this is one of those product that is worth saving up for and getting.

Hi Stinger13   On that shotgun you had pic of; is that on a Weaver plate ? What is the cost of the scope ? Sounds like you really like it .  Is the scope illuminated like Red Dots ?  I have a TruGlo Gobbler Stopper on my Beretta Xtrema and really like it

I shot competition skeet for years with just a vent rib and bead as well as birds galore. If "you" like it (that "you" isn't pointed at anyone, just a generic you) then great, I just don't understand what the benefit is.

Thanks for posting this. I had asked the question if anyone has used one for waterfowl. I cannot get over the price tag yet though. Please post how your duck season goes with it.

Steve I understand your point.  I only use a sight like this if the weapon does not have sights already such as my ars.  For those it seems to really help me at ranges over 100 yards.  

However if I had an extra Eotech sitting around with no weapon for it, my slug gun might wear it for a few days at the range just to check it out.

oh, that wasn't a shot against anyone. I'd certainly LOVE to play with it but not sure I'd fork out the $300+ to buy it

Yes they are pricey but like I said being left eye dominant and shooting right handed it makes my point on impact right on with both eyes open. MSRP is $439 yes pricey but unlike the cheaper red dot sights this one holds up my dad and myself have destroyed 4 of the cheap ones on our turkey set ups, they claim to stand up to recoil and last about 1 season at 60-100 a piece it doesn't take long to exceed the price of the Eotech they have many models to choose from this it the one I was sent to test.

wolffj I forget the maker of my mossberg 935 adapter but is is a weaver style rail.

I will let you know how it works for ducks , but I used the shotgun set up with the Eotech on it for fall turkey last weekend 4 shots 4 birds , can't even remember if I had both eyes open but sure don't remember even thinking about having to close my left eye to be on since this sight will work with the cross eye dominate problem I have.

Big difference between red dot and holographic is you can't see the holographic image from the receiving end of the gun unlike the red dot's I have used.
