 Hey all!

Here is what I'm looking for in a new pair of chest waders for waterfowl hunting and fishing:

around 600gms thinsulate

neoprene or nylon/canvas

preferably velcro straps as opposed to buckles

want to spend less than $200.

any suggestions?

Agree with coyoteslayer.....but if you are a BIG guy, velcro may not be as desirable as you think. And if you are wading in brush or heavy cover or cane, get "armored" waders....a pair of sockfoot 3mil only last me one or two years in the LA marsh with cane but others are too hot to wear. I am still wearing the same Hodjman bootfoot, "armoured" 600g after six years in MO and AR.
Check out Macks Prairie Wings. They have all you would ever need.

Dan's snake/briar proof built on a Muck Boot! I own two pair of their hip-waders, and several of the guys in my dog hunting club own their chest waders. I haven't found any that are easier to get on and off, or provide the necessary warmth and protection needed in the snake and briar infested swamps I hunt in down here. The material is rip-stop and very rugged. I've only found them in hunting specialty shops, and actually bought both pair of mine from vendors at the Coon Trials in Orangeburg, SC.
