I need good books/videos beginning with obedience training. Any recommendations? Additionally, is there anything out there about training a dog to decoy coyotes ? Thanks.

There are so many different books out there to use for training. I used Gun Dog by Richard Wolters which is a basic training for a bird dog, it is based on positive reinforcement instead of other methods. Not sure what type of dog you have though and not clue about training for decoying coyotes.

A cousin and I used to find a gyp in heat, stake her out on a 25-foot leash and whack coyotes. Never tried to train a dog to entice coyotes to chase it back to me.
Wolfers book is good.
I think Dogs Afield has an on line catalogue that has both books and videos listed. Nitelight may also have one.
