Can anybody recommend a lodge in any state to go mule deer hunting?

Contacted my state fish and game. I would have to retake the hunting course to get a hunters education card to hunt in Colorado. Gonna look else where before I do this.\

Joe, I have a question for you. In SC, because of my age, I am exempt from the hunter education requirement, so had never taken the course. After applying for some hunt giveaway contests I decided to take the online course and get my certification, just in case. It was my understanding that regardless of when and where a hunter's education certificate was issued, Colorado would accept any and all state's certification. Does that mean that there is an expiration date on your state's certificate, or is it simply out of date as far as Colorado is concerned????????? If it's expired in your state, does that mean you have to periodically repeat the course and get recertified??????

What I can figure out is that you must show a hunters education card to get a out of state liscense if you were born before 1949 to hunt in Colorado. I passed the course when I was 14. That was 1968. I talked to the N.J. fish and game, they sent me a application for a new card. On the application it states that there records only go back to 1972. In N.J. you can take the course online, but you still have to go somewhere on a Saturday to walk around with a shotgun.

I was looking foward to going to the Harrisburg show to talk to some outfitters. But the show has been postponed. I was leaning towards  Texas for there is no draw for mule deer.

We have plenty of mule deer in Northwestern Kansas, not for sure of outfitters in the area. You can go the website for Kansas outfitters association kansasoutfittersassociation.com. I think in Kansas a hunter education is required for anyone born after 1956. If you have hunted in other states, you might contact them for your number. Generally in Kansas your number is listed on your license.
