Why did you choose unit 85? I have hunted bulls in Colorado 3 times and killed 2 bulls. I have hunted cow elk two times and killed two cows. The units in southeast Colorado have a great deal of private land and hard to get access unless you know someone or want to "break the bank." I am going on a cow elk hunt with seven of my friends this fall again. We hunt in unit 62 using OTC license or unit 61 using landowner vouchers.
