460 S&W or 30 TC to hunt cow elk in NM.

I have a hunt scheduled, on private land, in zone 4 of Northern New Mexico.  I have narrowed down my choice of firearms to either a S & W 460 or a 30 TC.  I am equally proficient in both firearms.  Which one would you choose or should I use one one day and the other the next?  Any comments or experiences with these two firearms?

You have drawn an excellent unit for elk in NM. In Unit 4 I would use the .460 S&W along with a long rifle to be ready for any situation. Good luck.
