This stock was painted black when I got it and was cracked in the forarm .They put some kind of stuff put on it .I took it down and then fixed the crack in it and put some pins in it to hold it together .The only stock I could find would cost me more than the gun is worth .So this is what I have .

The elbow grease relly makes it look great; all my side locks are 45 cal but they sure like the TC maxie hunter, but each one likes different powder charges, I start 50 gr & work up, if the pattern starts to open up or the hammer comes to half cock when fired back it down. I would think that you should be able to use 90gn swiss 2F without any trouble, take it slow and have fun with it!

Painting that black was almost criminal. Nice restoration.
