by choosing mechanicals you have chosen a broadhead that is more likely to fail than a fixed. imo as a hunter and a sportsman it is my responsibilty to eliminate as many fails as possible to provide a quick and clean kill .how many hunters use mechanicals so that they dont have to take the time to tune their fixed.i am a former mechanical user and have learned the hard way

Interesting comment by ..I.. above. I have used mechanicals for the past 10 years without a fail. I have also spent the time to understand that a mechanical does have limitations as compared to a fixed. By understanding the exuipments, and the users limitations, the user has worked to eliminate the "fail" events from thier time in the field. Not saying one is better than the other. If one instills more confidence than the other, then by all means hunt the one you have the most confidence in.
