Recieved a email from the hunting club that said I quote"congrats you have been selected to be a product tester" a month and a half ago. Never recieved it. Emailed the hunting club and stuff stuff neither one returned my email. That's how they treat life members think I deserve my money back what a sham!!!!!

Did they tell you what product you had been selected to test, and how long you could expect for it to arrive? Most of us have found that once you receive the e-mail, it is usually anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks and sometimes maybe a bit longer for the product to be shipped from it's manufacturer. Remember, that neither StuffStuff nor the NAHC actually have possession of the products and neither of them do the shipping. By the same token, there have been some instances where the product was received prior to receipt of the e-mail, or shortly thereafter. It's all based on the manufacturer and their shipping procedures.

BTW, If you want your money back, I guess you are telling us that you joined strictly for the chance to get some freebies, right?

No rthomas I didn't join just to get the free stuff buddy but when they send me two e mails saying I was chosen to test products and not respond to my return emails just makes me think all they want is my money not my satisfaction.

Try sending an e-mail to support@stuffstuff.com. They've been very helpful when I've experienced a problem or had a question, unlike customer service @ NAHC.

Again, did they specify what products you have been chosen for? If not, then I'd suggest you reread the e-mails, since SS tells you specifically what you will be getting, and where it will be coming from, along with a specified timeline for expected delivery. If your e-mails didn't include that information, then it sounds as if you received the standard "you are registered" notification, not notice of an actual test item.

Reference my previous post, and I believe I provided the answer about his problem. I think he received the "Welcome to SS" e-mail and mistook it for notification of a test.

BTW, I received notification today, that I've been picked for another test. I'll be getting the "Skunk Fusion Weekender Pack".

ch, who cares what you are waiting for?  why do you think you can demand the guy to answer you? who cares what you think the reason is?  warm reception?  he was questioned as to why he joined the club.  and that's warm?  and what if he did join for freebies?  isn't that exactly the reason you all joined stuffstuff?  hell, even had some join facebook after saying they would never do that.  seems you all are after free stuff.  funny after all the times newbies were questioned about the reason they joined.

tlc first of all why would you be talking to me! because I can talk to anyone I want to. would you like to start this over again!! yeah, let's start this over again.  lightweight.  since we all know how it ended last time! how what ended last time?  you claimed you couldn`t be banned!!! post where I said that.  anyone can be banned here.  will be waiting for you to back up your claim.  and i was right!!! you could!!so what does that make you? what does what make me?  getting banned?  makes me someone who will say what he feels and not change who or what I am.  you can answer that 1! just did.  now lets see i remember you saying "anyone who would come back here is a traitor" hmmm!!! post where I said that.  will be waiting for that one, also.  i will quit there cause we all can see now!!!   lightweight.  duck and run.
since this will be my last time to ever answer you i was trying to help him, he chose not to answer! you accused him of lieing.  that's helping him?  which lead me to believe he is an anti! you see i unlike some who go to your site!i let people know where i stand! i don`t sneek attack anyone!!  neither have I.  have always done what I did to you.  and since i don`t belong to stuffstuff no i did not!!!now run back to your little site where you can play king!!! don't need to be on my site to play King. all I have to do is keep offering help to those who ask.  and FYI, may stop by more often just to piss you off.

I feel the club has failed to live up to its promise of field testing items.  I have been a life member since 1994, and I received one item (I recall it was valued at about $7.  Now they switched to stuff-stuff.
Items to field test were supposed to be sent randomly, but now we have to purchase them.  Rip-off!

Perhaps holly and steve would have understood what I was saying if I put "purchase" in quotes. You have to accumulate points and then use them to "purchase" products to field test. I understood perfectly what was going on.

Still doesn't sound like it. You can't buy anything with points. All they do is to QUALIFY you to be ELIGIBLE for higher tier test items. I have 181 points, haven't bought one thing. Will I get anything else? Only if I get selected by the powers that be. I re-suggest that some research would enlighten the real facts to you. They are very clearly spelled out on the SS FAQ page and have been discussed to death on this site.

But the main point I was making was that in 8 years of lifetime membership, prior to stuffstuff, I was only selected once. For a $7 item.

If you of bothered to put a little time into reading the prior threads on the subject you'd see that a lot are/were in the same boat. When you're talking about a "club" with what's approaching a million members with a few test items.... well... you do the math for the odds.

I went 35+ years with no field test item, then along came SS, and I am now testing my third item. As I outlined previously, there is absolutely no cost whatsoever to participate in SS, other than being a paid member of the NAHC, the NAFC, or the Handyman Club, all of which are owned by the NAMG. Points are earned based on membership level in the participating clubs, participation on facebook and twitter, and liking items from SS to facebook, as well as completing the reviews after testing an item. Pictures add points, and providing the url for sites where you post reviews and pictures, earn more points. Currently, I am at 180 points, and that's with the 10 point deduction for the Skunk Fusion Weekender Pack I'm currently testing. Once I complete the reviews, I will get those 10 points back, as well as additional points for posting here on the NAHC site, the NAHC social site, and several other sites that I participate on. I will then be at the top level (6) and have over 200 points. I read one guys post where he claimed to have 697 points, all from one item he tested, and all of the places he posted and all of the items he "liked" on facebook. Again, NOT a DAMN Dime has to be spent to test an item and like Steve mentioned, with over 850,000 members just in the NAHC, and I have no idea how many in the NAFC or the Handyman Club, it damn sure seems that more folks are getting field testing items with SS, than ever received items under the old system.

Hell, if you have only been a member for 8 years and had received any field test item at all, you were already well ahead of more than most of the members.

GLW, when you realize that less than 1/2 of the NAHC membership is even registered as users of the site, and then less than 1% of those participate, it is amazing! I seriously question the total membership numbers, and I have to believe that the people who registered for the site, apparently did so in the belief that it would help them get some freebies of some sort..........especially when you see all of the 1 post wonders who post complaints about not getting their freebies!!!!!!!! And I won't even go into all of the posts that are actually 100% inaccurate in their beliefs and misunderstandings concerning StuffStuff, and the "try it and buy it" program!!!!!!!!!!

I received the e-mail about the Filtrete Water System on Dec. 14th, and UPS delivered it on Dec. 21st.

btacker1, you might want to go back and read your membership agreement; you know the one that said you agree to have the club send you those 'try it and buy it" products, and the statement that said membership qualifies you for the OPPORTUNITY to get picked for a field test item. There was never a guarantee to get picked. I have been a Charter Member since 1977, and a Life Member since 2000. In all that time I never got picked a single time. Since SS took over the administration of the program, I have now received 4 items. A $150.00 Bio-Logic ATV spreader, A $4.00 RTE sandwich, some $9.00 Skunk Fusion cover scent, and this month a $250.00 Filtrete Water filtration system. StuffStuff is the greatest upgrade this club has ever gotten involved in.

Steve, I'm thinking that there was a shipping snafu due to the season, on your cangun. I've read a lot of reviews from people who have tested it.

You mean SS points.... had the points from being a lifer here, filling out all of the profiles, received 3 (waiting for the 4th now) items to test, reviewed them honestly, complete with pictures!  Shared with FB and Twitter (that's pretty much all I do on those any more).  Honestly reviewed other stuff they have on the site that I've had experience with... that purdy much did it.

I didn't really do anything underhanded, just played their silly game...

Talk to RT - he's WAY up there...

I think it's a combination of the pics, facebook, and twitter. Using those three boost things pretty quickly.

There isn't anything underhanded in following the guidelines set by StuffStuff, and posting reviews of products that you have used, even if you didn't get them from SS. There is also nothing wrong with "liking" a product that you'd actually enjoy having. That is the method that SS TELLS it's members to do in order to build their points. As I've said, there's one dude who claims he's never gotten a test item, yet he has accumulated over 700 points, by following the rules and guidelines set by SS. I can go in every day, and as SS advises, be active on the site by tweeting and liking the different products, and earning 1 point for each time. That is exactly what SS says is the way to be active and earn points. Last night, I picked up 3 more points, just by liking 3 new products that sounded iinteresting. Also, I have filed reports on items that I've owned or used for several years, exactly as the rules stipulate. If you want to boost your point totals, then participate and follow their own rules. There isn't anything illegitimate if it's allowed under their rules...........and if you violate the rules, they will either refuse to award the points, or take them away from you!!!!!!!!!!

I just finished testing the cabelas XT II binos and with the review plus pictures I got 143 points back out of the 200 i used to get the product. I have 568 points now and its all because I share and tweet products. I have tested two items since joining back in October because I am active on the site daily. I see a pattern of getting selected every two months if your active. that is based on the list steve has running of people who get selected and when. RT is one who seems to get something every two months because he is active.

Two weeks, back when I first got mine about 8 years ago. It might take longer considering the higher numbers of people applying these days. SC's counties are all the same, since it's up to the SC Law Enforcement Division to issue the CCP.

Very dissapointed with NAHC field tester program. In over a decade (maybe 2) of membership I've only got 2 things to test, both of which would cost under $5 each. I guess Bill Miller and the others who made money creating NAHC have been getting all the good stuff. Now they tell me that it's handled through a third party site. The off-site is nearly impossible to negotiate. Once again, I guess it's too muich work to keep up with those of us who were dumb enough to pay money for this club. At least the magazine is good.

OK, I can't resist this one. First off, Bill Miller didn't have a damn thing to do with creating the NAHC, and secondly he was gone before SS took over the field testing program.............Good Riddance! Thirdly, you can get signed up straight from this site, by accessing the benefits tab at the top of the page. Nothing complicated and very simple, especially if you were already enrolled in the old field testing program. Fourth, try over 35 years of membership with nothing to test and now after a little over 6 months with SS, I'm testing my fourth item!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steve it's not that I'm a glutton for punishment, and certainly not because I support the company 100%, it's just that I can't stand ignorance and misinformation!!!!!!!!!! TLC, before you jump in my sh*t for that comment, it's a generalization!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
