Well today I recivied a white tale  book in the mail. for a "free"preview. The box it came in has "Product test" stamped on the front. The letter says if I want to keep it I must pay $7.95 plus shipping. If I want the book and want to be enrolled in the "free product test program" I "must buy" the book.Then I will recive a Knife for a product test that I can keep, and they will be sending another book for $19.95. WHAT A FREAKING SHAM!!!!!!!

I didnt join this club to buy books about stuff I already know! I joined for some tricks from fellow hunters here on line and for "free product testing. Not some auther looking to make a buck off my ass. I am very disapointed to say the least. I guess I should have known better. That will be a $24.00 lesson I wont soon for get. I want my money back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woody welcome to the forum. I f you read the stuff you get for membership it tells you most of what you just discribed. The Magazine has some good articals, The books they sell look to me to be articals from the Magazine put in a hard cover. As far as the Test Products, get in line, there are those who have been here years without getting anything to test. Just check the forum out, join in the post, you can learn alot from those in here, just ask.

They are just venting, they have valid points, we have learned in time, as will they! note: some are leaders, some are definitely followers, easy to pick out the followers here.
Woody!, send it back, accept nothing from the club, EVER, and they lied, it's as simple as filling out the test product form for free, now get in line and wait for YEARS like we all have!

I think the point is Paul,  that if anyone would bother to actually READ any of the posts with relevant subject lines they would KNOW the answer to their questions without whining and *itching during their first posts. And maybe, just maybe spend their first posts appropriately, like maybe introducing themselves with some basic info as to area, interests, etc and actually join in some discussions in an attempt to become a positive contributor to these groups vs a whiner?

I know what p*sses me off is people not even trying to help THEMSELVES before whining and *itching. The information is ALL readily here and EASILY found, all someone has to do is look and read.

And you're probably a much better person for it Paul. I'm all for helping the disabled to the max but to be helped you first have to want to help yourself. These dolts have proven that to not be the case.

I think of this is fustration with some of those that can't or wont read what has been said .when they ask for help most are willing t help out .I know many have tryied many of times on here .

Yeah, after one of your prior posts, I got to thinkin' and said... "hmmm maybe he's right".

I mean, how much trouble would it cause me to post the correct link to the request page and we may actually get some additional contributing outdoors people. Granted, they didn't try to help themselves but people bailing out isn't a good thing either.

I have no problem helping out, but not going even try if it's just * itching and whinin' post. If they need help ask, maybe make a little effort to look around and figure out on your own first, need advice ask more than willing to help, but don't knockin' on my door * itchin' cause their are potholes in the street, go to those that are responsible for the street!!!

What I've started doing is reading all of the complaints for the hell of it, but I've only been answering questions when they appear in a new thread and no one else has provided an answer at the time I read the initial post. Even that doesn't seem to always work, but the last few seem to have gotten the info and followed the directions provided.

GLW, sometimes we just start having some fun between ourselves, based on the fact that so many of the one post wonders never bother to read the help provided, or if they do, they never bother to respond in a positive manner.

I understand that RT, I've seen so many posts gone dry because the folks that post them can't even show enough respect to follow up and acknowledge the help they are receiving. Pretty disrespectful in my book.  Get a rope!  I believe sometimes they are young folks that are so overwhelmed with educated responces they just can't comprehend or fully understand, that they let the thread go dead?
