Good point rt, as far as that goes what ever happened to them? Anyone know? What they did was actually way worse than what the "company" has continued to do, IMO, since they did dangle that "land to hunt" carrot in front of many of us.

All I can remember is that one month they were the founders, owners and operators of the NAHC, and the next month there was a new ownership group. That also changed a few times, before the British company owned and then sold to the current NAMG organization.

Grandpops, thankyou for the time and the link to the new member free item. IT WORKED. As a new member i do not think it should be as hard to accomplish as it was. I hope the next two years are not this difficult and i can relie on the Hunters Club for some answers. Thanks again.

All the stuff I received I believe I payed for with my membership dues. I still get this wonderful web site(as long as I keep paying for my internet) and the magazine. So I think nothing is free. I believe now you have to pay for field test items(at a discount price)and you get to keep it. WOW

chrisbyrd, you dont have to pay for stuff to test, you have the option of buying or testing! i am opted out of that program but i know you dont have to pay, just go to stuffstuff and sign up, alot of folks have gotten some good stuff! go for it!!

I wonder why so many of the people who post questions, gripes, or incorrect information, never bother to respond when the answer, explanation or correct information is provided? I also wonder just how many of the one hit wonders, who only post a beitch or whine, don't bother to ever read the threads or the replies to their one post? I honestly believe that of the 450,000+ members that are supposedly registered on this site, the actual number of users only numbers in the 100's instead of the 1000's as shown. It reminds me of Obama's recently announced employment numbers, when I look at the NAHC's registered members numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a new member i am very unplease with my membership to this point. Have only gotten have of my free gifts no membership card, a book that was destroyed, and having to jump through hoops to be a product tester. I did not pay stuff stuff a membership due i paid NAHC, i sure hope it gets better.

mseipts, did you join as an annual member, life member, or trophy life member? Did you join for freebies, or for the magazine subscription and access to the site. StuffStuff is who the NAHC now has operating the field testing program, and I can assure you that it's a 1000% improvement over the old program. There are no hoops to jump through, since under the old system you still had to fill out a profile and register to get enrolled in the field testing program. BTW, if your book was destroyed, perhaps the post office bears the blame..........and what membership card???????????????? I've been a member since 1977, and I don't remember ever having any type of membership card, when I became a life member, I did receive a nice wooden plaque but never a card.

RT they do have member ship cards that you can show at different sporting outlets to get discounts .Mine got stoled when my house was broken into .Just send them an email or call them and thay will send you one .

When did those start? Besides, I thought Cabela's and the Sportsman's Guide were the only retail outlets that offered the NAHC membership any type of discount.

Holly, your post made me think, so I went and searched through some stuff, and I actually found my Life Member membership card! I guess my old timers had kicked in, 'cause I'll be damned if I had remembered ever having one. Thanks for the kick in the azz!!!!!!!!

I dont know what stores you have out there but out here Big5,Sports Authority and Dicks all give discounts .

Damn, it's a shame BassPro and Sportsman's Warehouse aren't on the list. We do have a couple of Dick's locations in Summerville and Charleston, but they can't compete with BassPro for price and selection.

Howdy folks. I havn't been on the site in quite some time, and I see that it has taken on a new look. Unfortunately the whining didn't change 1 bit. But on that note, I add this for all those whiners to (YET, AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!) try to get it through their heads that getting customer support isn't THAT difficult. Because I hadn't been on the site in such a long time, and the fact that NAHC changed things, I couldn't log in. I made 1 (O-N-E) phone call and got a REAL person, and resolved my issue in 10 minutes. IT'S JUST THAT SIMPLE!!!!! So instead of whining, you need to TAKE HEED of the hundreds/thousands of suggestions and guidance that these members put on these boards to help you. That's all.

So, where've you been? BTW, do you have the new internet addy for EDH? If not let me know and I'll send it to you in a pm.

Busy on the road all summer with my new job, and Dad (82 yrs old) has health/heart issues that keep me in the Dr's office and hospital with him on a weekly basis. Havn't even sighten my rifle for this years hunt yet. I also havn't been on the EDH sight is as long, and when I tried to access through the zetaboard, it wouldn't acknowledge the request.
