I thought this might be a good idea from the first letters I received from the North American Hunter club but wow I have had it with you people.  Some how you signed me up for life member and I have emailed you several times saying I do not want a life membership.  I've also been sending back every letter and box you send me after I realized what a rip off this outfit was.   How come you don't get the message?  I don't want to be a life member or even a member of this rip off orgination.  Please leave me alone and quit sending me the cheap Chinese junk.  The knife you sent me when I joined is cheap garbage. I may be a woman but I know that the steel in the knife you sent is not worth crap.  Again get the hint drop me as a member and stop trying to rip me off.

ruth,

while i dont believe you will come back i will still do this just in case you do!! first off by posting here, your only getting to the the members of this club, we can`t help you, we have no say in this company! you can click on the "contact the club" button at the bottom of the page, or you can open 1 of those envelopes and get the 1800 number and call and talk to a live person! whom can help you!

can i ask you a question? are you a hunter? if so you may like it here, lots of people with different ideas and tricks that may help you, you may find people close to you that you can hunt or fish with! while most everything this club sends you is cheap crap! the real moneys worth is in the members! a lot of nice people on here! but if your looking for freebies try another club! even the the product testing has been revamped and might be ok now!

well i hope you chose to stay, allways good to have ladies in the field! good luck to you what ever you choose! and never give out you member number! some one could post as you!

Like crippledhunter said , the real value is in the members, and the helpful forums, a lot of good advice out there, and I really enjoy reading, and sometimes putting in my 2 cents in . I also like the magazine. I hope you get things resolved, and I hope you stay.

Steve,
Well I did say that I liked to read, and occasionally put in my 2 cents. I would have liked to put in more but because of the economy, I have to watch my budget.

No R.T., just joking around. nothing to do really with renting computer time, but me just putting in
my 2 cents in on a conversation. My wife is always telling me the older I get the more I get like my Father, who loved to talk and tell stories. She is always telling me if I keep putting in my 2 cents that someday I'm going to run out of change.....As of matter of fact she is reading this right now over my shoulder as I type, and saying “Oh brother is that a understatement !”

I'm glad to hear that are other people who think this club is full of B.S. , when contact them about something you didn't get when you upgrade to life member they tell you it's been too long but we can charge you the full price for life membership not the discount and upgrade you more for another charge. Now you have to sign up with another company for testing gear and earn points what's that all about? I'll just enjoy the magazine and let things be and enter the contests maybe I'll get lucky win one sometime. Good hunting to all and see ya in the funny paper's.

Patrick, as someone who never experienced any results in over 35 years with the old program, I will say that StuffStuff is a 1000% improvement, since I've already received two test items in the short time it's been around. I think we have another situation here, where people don't actually bother to read before they assume! We keep seeing people post about having to "pay to sign up for SS", and how "the NAHC has done away with a member benefit"; it's just like the people who continue to post on the site requesting their freebies and posting their membership numbers..............without bothering to read the thread. Also, the people who beitch about the "try it and buy it" program who didn't bother to read their membership agreement, it's beginning to sound like we have a preponderance of members who either don't or can't read! I guess we know where some of the Obama votes are going to come from!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AMEN Rt! <insert STANDING OVATION smilie here if we had one>  It's not that they CAN'T read, it's just that they're too LAZY to try and learn how it works. Just like they're too lazy to read the terms and conditions before they join and then whine and *itch about everything they should have already known....  Everything is spelled out very clearly on the StuffStuff site if they would simply read, same with this site and membership. Trying to get people to change though is like trying to maintain erosion from the seashores. It's a never-ending fiasco. People don't want to help themselves anymore, they want someone else to help them so they don't have to do anything.... <br>

Crippledhunter thanks for the information and rthomas4 I did read the membership agreement and understood it as for judging about how someone else will vote stick it,I wouldn't vote for that man if he was the only one! Then there's Steve if I had time to sit and read all the post you and rt have put out I wouldn't have time to hunt or fish, much less wipe my azz. I've been disabled for 4 years now and I don't ask anything from anyone about anything.
Now that's off my chest, good hunting to all and good luck this season what ever your hunting.

mebaggett, sorry if we hit a nerve, but your comment about SS was as far off base as the people who don't read before beitching, so thus the correlation. BTW, I've been disabled since 2005, myself........which is why I have time to post answers and clarifications on topics I happen to know something about. I still manage to deer hunt every single day of my season which runs from Aug. 15th to Jan. 1st.

You're a better man than I am RT. I have zero inclination to apologize or explain myself to a person who comes on here and is already b*t*cing by their fifth post and then belittling people here by the 6th. Especially when they know absolutely zero about the people they are attacking. People like that, I don't need.

Well, since I've been accused of being the board bustard, thread stealer, and resident know it all, I thought maybe a little background information could enlighten the poor misguided soul. I'm used to the personal attacks after being here for the past three years, now!!!!!!!!! Hell, I was even attacked when I made my very first post, so this isn't anything new. Between the censors, and the attackers, I've grown a pretty thick skin.......it's just the annoyance factor when people post incorrect assumptions and misinformation that still gets to me. Believe me, I'm no cheerleader for the NAMG, but by the same token if someone wants to beitch about the company, at least beitch about it with facts and not false information!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is not one of us " oldtimers " who have not been cussed, name called, and told to go away ! You know what I have more respect for those like myself who refuse to do so. I have been involved in some true knockdown and dragouts in the old days that would get a member banned now. I like Steve, RT, and Holly have the tendacy to be honest and call things the way I see them. Does it make me always right ? Nope ! But others know where I stand and I will offer help to ANYBODY who needs or asks for it and do it without regards as to how others feel. Steve don't you go nowhere and just keep posting as you always have. There have been through the years many who have come and gone that came here and complained from day one and that's OK but then don't turn around and get all upset and name call when others don't agree or pat you on the back. This Club is a business and is run for a profit and it's that simple. Either join and become a member and if you don't like it then don't renew your membership. So now come on with it !!!

Steve, one thing I forgot to point out. Why don't you go back and reread the post that you thought I had made an apology in. Read it very carefully and reflect on the wording and the underlying message in that post. I think you'll realize that it wasn't really an apology, but actually a sarcastic statement to someone who didn't have a clue! I reference the very first sentence as the basis of the sarcasm!!!!!!! Then the last sentence was a direct right hook in response to his previous comment.

Hell, I look at people like him as providing the comic relief, along with the other posters who want their freebies and continue to post their member numbers.

Hello it's me again. I'm not attacking anyone I defended myself, and I'm glad Steve and rt got a laugh out of it. I will keep my comments to myself from now on. There was no need for any apologies, I've got thick skin too and I can be sarcastic also but I won't lower myself to someone else's level. Thanks and have a great season to all.

sigh!I hear you holly.   jwolfer,I don't know why you joined the club but if it was for free chit nothing is free.and you will find most here don't like people who whine about not getting freebies.I MYSELF HAD VERY LITTLE LUCK THE FIRST FEW YEARS I was a member, but since stuff-stuff took over I have been pleasantly surprised by how often I have been picked to test something,(3 times last year).the more effort you put into the testing program the better your chances are of testing something but you have to be patient and follow the rules and build your points before you will get any high priced items if you joined to maybe make some friends and possibly learn something and share your own knowledge, then welcome to the club and jump right in to the forums.this club like anything worthwhile is what you yourself make of it

jwolfer, if you go back and read through the forums, you'll find that the purpose and concentration of the NAHC, isn't concerned with the gun control issue. They have stated those issues are up to the NRA and other gun rights organizations; although since Gordy Krahn has taken over, there seems to be a slight shift in that attitude.

First time posting here. Thank you all for the opportunity. I just wanted to add a piece from my perspective for what it's worth. I agree that I was mildly dissapointed at the lack of opportunity to test more products. But I have to say that I have appreciated so much more the opportunity to simply be a member. I have gained a great deal of insight and tips from reading the articles in the magazine and blogs. I respect each and every one of you and thank you for the knowledge that you freely pass along. So much so, that after being a member for a little over a year I decided to bite the bullet and become a life member. Like with many of you, times are tougher and it has been a sacrifice. But I felt the intangible benefits were worth it. Sorry to be such a windbag, but I felt there needed to be something here to reinforce the positive comments made by some. Good luck to everyone in the efforts afield!

Hi Rt. From Mn to Fl and back to Mn. Please don't blame the north for Obumbles!! We don't want or need him either!! Wish he would go back to Kenya. Been away for awhile, hope to be here more often. Got cross bow permit too late to hunt last year, have a few spots for this year. Bad rotator cuff.
