Sounds like you have gotten more than most. Be happy with what you got, and that you were actually selected to field test. Though low priced, it sounds like a good variety pack!!!

I love entertaining posts like this. So, you are telling me, that in the dead of winter...you NEVER had cold hands and wished you hand hand warmers at 5 am??? I really think, however, that you should take your insults toward club members elsewhere. We didn't insult you, simply said that you should be happy getting to test a product...and if you don't leave a review, you will never get another one. Don't forget, there have been a few testers that got crossbow packages this year. if 10 people got them and there are 350,000 members(all of which probably arent testers) you have a 1 in 35,000 chance of getting one. Not saying these are exact numbers, but way better than any contest you would enter.

naveyman bosley, for informational purposes only, not trying to start anything! There are a few more than 350,000 members who are signed up as forum users. The actual club membership is a little over 850,000 based on the last figures released by the company. I would guess that number is now closer to 900,000 considering how long ago the numbers were released.

BTW, I was one of the Charter Members when there were less than 1000 members, and I finally had a field test item this past summer for the very first time in over 34 years of membership, so anyone who gripes about the program needs to join another organization if their purpose in paying this one was in order to get free stuff!!!!!!

I don't believe the club has ever lied about the test program, since they never guaranteed that every member would actually get items to test. Their guarantee was that every member would have an opportunity to get an item, if and when, their name gets drawn from the pool and based on items available and the member's profile!!!!!

This now makes about the 40,001 time that this has been posted in around 20,001 threads!!!!!!!!! When will people begin to read the forums before posting the same old chit over and over????????????? Can't people read before inserting foot into mouth???????????

Hey Guys & Gals I just got an item to field test, a CR123A pair of batteries. I use them in my flashlite and they are bright so I'm glad I received them. At Wallymart they cost about $10.72. My question now is after testing an item you must re submit your test profile and I have filled that form out about 10 times and it won't Submit. I have tried on FireFox and Outlook Express with no luck. Several other submits on like Winchester work so why not this.

Has anyone had this same problem here ? Any suggestions will help or do I have to call them

Now the membership is cheap, but they use a lot of other methods of creating more revenue, sending you stuff in the mail to preview for free but then you must buy it or send it back UNOPENED. Also I do not have a lot of confidence in the Give a ways, I e-mailed the club on the last Gear give away, it had been two weeks since the drawing was held and they still have not posted the winners. I received a E-mail stating that it could take several months before the winners were posted, sounds very fishy. The magazine is poorly done there are a lot better Magazines’ out there for a lot less, search the web for Hunting magazine’s and you find a lot of great mags out there for less than the club membership dues. Also the Forums you can get a free membership to Huntingnet.com and they have a lot of great information and it’s free. Over the entire Club seems to me to be a way of getting access to you and try to sell you a lot of cheaply made stuff. Any way to sum it all up I will not be renewing my membership and will be returning everything they send me.

msanderbrink, you can return everything after it has been opened. The company even includes a postage paid return address label that can be affixed to the resealed package. Also if you will read the complaints that are posted here on this board, you will find that most of them deal with the field test program which most new members don't understand because they didn't read their membership agreement, the items received for review and purchas ( as in your post), which once again means that the membership agreement wasn't read and understood, and the loss of our First Amendment rights while on this board, which is in a TOS that the company can use at their discretion and interpretation.

I will; however, agree that the NAMG is a money grubbing corporation that takes every opportunity to gouge it's current members by creating new levels of membership after enticing existing members to upgrade, only later to have a "better" upgrade offered at another higher cost!!!!!!! Also, the problem with the mag. is one that is popping up in practically every print publication out today.......the requirement of a smart phone in order to get "The Rest of The Story".

Just remember that in the last 35 years, the NAHC has undergone tremendous changes from what the original founders created. It isn't a real club by any stretch of the imagination in it's current incarnation, but then again is SportsmenNA, Buckmasters, DU, NWTF, or any other hunting organization that is open to any and all who are willing to pay for membership???????????????????

But your a nam vet so what more than half of my uncle's were also, one of which we just lost to cancer from agent orange, he was a green beret, I have 3 uncle's were force Marine recon My father and another uncle were in the army also, 2 in the navy and one in the airforce.

If you were a veteran of Vietnam, my heart goes out to you. Nobody will ever understand what it is like to come back from a war hated by people in our nation. I personally came back to love, respect, and praise from my time in the Arabian Gulf dropping warheads on foreheads. I would love to give you the utmost respect for what you did for us and our freedom, but you make it very hard, and give all veterans a bad name when you act this poorly over not getting a product you WANTED to test.. Navy man,niemz,crippled hunter and othe other vets, from one vet to anther thank you for your service. Niemz be as safe as possible and god bless. Yes we all get alittle overboard sometimes but this guy I agree does fellow vets no justice the way he acted, I myself have been alittle improper at times but when confronted with it I am man enough to stand up and apologize to everyone the was involved with the thread, In matter of fact I did just that in the rt4 got ban thread.

TLC is not a webby .And i will say it I lost a brother in vetnam and had one get wounded .I servered from 1970 until 1977 .That is after 2 broken backs dislocated shoulder two broken arms .And a bunch of messed up ribs the retired me .My grand son just git of the marines .At the pressent time i have 3 nephews serving in the army one who just reenlisted after haveing his neck broke after an ied blew up the humvee he was in .And yes my grand son did his time in afgaistan .Pan man 65 .JOIN THE REST OF THE VETS ON HERE WITHOUT A CHIP ON YOUR SHOULDER .

tlc, i like your site(old 1) went and still read things from time to time, was not well recieved there, but hey no 1 can fit in everywhere! and i agree with you no 1 should run any 1 off, but thats on them, karma is a b*#$h! i for 1 would never push a button, thought about it a few times. but to be honest thats what it is for! as for harrassing anyone it is wrong, we all get frustrated by all these posts! it is hard to keep saying the same thing! contact the club should be in everyone tag line! i have seen bear03 say it sometime 2 or 3 times in 1 day! CH, the zeta site is still there, but no one uses it much.  way too slow.  and the zeta folks keep telling us there is nothing wrong with it.  but, longshot is having speed issues also.  the new site(same name)is OK, but not near as fancy as the old one.  hoping to have the extra $$$ to have one designed the way all the important members want this winter.  but, we will have to wait and see.

TLC I'm thinking the young man you were referring to with the spelling issues may have been elkmoosedeerhunter. If it was him, the issue some had with him was that he liked to use "text talk" on the BB's. Since most of us old guys don't text we had a bit of trouble understanding him. He could actually spell quite well when he chose to.

I have to admit to being one of the worst spellers here. That's why I always use my spell check. Whether any of us like it or not, people will and do judge us on our grammar. That's just a fact of life.

I haven't seen a debate like this around here for awhile, it's to bad no one is going to reply to TLC. That pretty much kills it.

I've been involved in a few debates that TLC was involved in, sometimes with him, sometimes against him.

In my debates against him for the most part it came down to semantics between us. We did have a blowout awhile back. As far as I concerned it was "our" debate, and I didn't want or need anyone else to get involved. I can't speak for TLC, but I'm pretty sure he felt the same way. Was I 100% right? probably not. Was he 100% right? probably not. Did we both feel that we were 100% right at the time? Yup!!!

I'll say this about debating with TLC. If you choose to do so, you better eat your Wheaties, and put your hunting boots on. Because he's going to give you a good run. You better have, and keep your facts straight. As I'm sure you've seen here.

I have been a lifetime member which comes with no more dues ever and I have tested several items, gun locks, anti rusting agents and now I am testing a software program called wise for game camera's.

I never saw your post about the scope, which is why I didn't reply. I like mine, because it's almost the same scope as the Aetec, which is my favorite. I own three of the Aetecs and one of the .44mags.

I relate compleatly with both rt and yourelf navyman, I think by the sounds of it you have a misunderstanding, but yes rt I gotta agree with navyman on this the club has alot of young members and is aiming for much younger ones. NAHC has many young members( children) and that I have found has been the big pop for the censoring.
thats why I totaly belive in underage sections.

I personaly believe its the people who use pour word selection and sexual inuindos and other things of the like that we dont want our children exposed to that should control themselves. why should we hide political retorick bad spelling and good hunting info from them.
sometimes members both new like me, and those of use who have been around for a while like Mr. RThomas4 have bad experiances and get frustrated from time to time. I dont think we should hide the truth from the kids. its not like we are promoting bad behavior or worse thing like porn, alcohol abuse and drug abuse. I say bring on the 16 and younger and let them get a glimps into the world of hunting and outdoorsmenship and keep it clean...enough that we the adults dont have to shamefuly explain to them that we are not all we are crack up to be sometime but the still have to look to use for gidence... ;;;..... this is just to humble openion of a South Georgia Country Boy.

BTW, the forum rules state that children under the age of 16 can only use the boards with parental control. That's why the "kid's corner" is one of the forums here. If the TOS is going to be enforced when we voice an opinion on some topics, then it should be enforced equally across the board, with no exceptions. Otherwise, the company should eliminate the censorship and do away with the TOS, if it's going to be selectivly enforced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been sent items to test three times.   One, I had to send to  my brother in law in New York to test for me.  It was screw in arrow tips with whitetail  scent to shoot against trees so your scent wouldn't be between you and the tree.  I lived in Arizona then.  I don't bow hunt.   I hunt muledeer anyway.  The first one was hand warmers also.  They were went to me in the middle of the summer also.  110 degree heat.  But, I had them when did get cold.  Problem was.   The club wanted the test results back before the time I could test them.  I don't remember what the last item was that I was sent.  I was able to test it and send the results to the club on time.  I haven't been sent anything since then.  Thats been 4 years ago.

What in the world are you talking about?  Did you bother to actually READ any of the myriad of posts on the subject before ranting on your 3rd post to the group ever?  Granted, most whine and *itch on the 1st post without doing any research so you're 2 up I guess.

Now, for the facts. Yes, you need to sign up at Stuffstuff.  Then you need to apply to test products based on the number of points that you have.  Then you wait.   I currently have a knife coming to me for a field test.
