HuntingClub.com will be down starting at approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012. The website should be live by early in the day on Tuesday, July 3. The site will be getting a new look and feel that we hope enhances your experience. With this change, there will be a few bumps in the road that you might find before us. Please post any issues here (screen shots are helpful) and we will fix them as soon as possible. Thanks for bearing with us.

I just wanted to add to what Josh had to clarify the times a little better and add to what Josh had to say. We'll be bringing the site down between 7:00 and 8:00 central time (depending on how long the back ups take) and deploying a new home page and interior pages. There are literally thousands of interior pages so the potential is there that something will be missed. We'd really like your help in pointing out markup and functionality issues and reporting them here. We will have multiple resources monitoring this thread and dedicated to fixing anything that you turn up. At some point when we've gotten the big and medium chunks cleaned up we will migrate any outstanding issues to a change/enhancement log that we will be sharing with you.
For tonight, you'll know we'll all done if you can find this thread and you see me say: "Let the critique begin!" At that point I will log any "known issues" and an estimated eta for fixing.
Thanks and watch this space for details.

We're back.
For the most part we are looking pretty good but here are some known issues we'll be addressing tomorrow. -My Account Page looks a little messy -Inside Track Section of Footer isn't taking up the full area -Right Menu in the Trophy Room looks meh -Trophy Room pages need clean up -Trophy Room Honor Roll isn't rendering
Let the Critique Begin.... |

Just my 2 cents, but I don't care for the black background and white foreground. too much contrast, hard on these old eyes.
Time stamp also appears to be off. I posted @ 3:57am cst and this shows the post at 8:57am.
Still need to get rid of the Beta Test/Social markers from the Fourms page. It's just wasted space. At least create a header and place them all under a single header that can be minimized by the non-Social Networking users. |

Yeah, there is a ton of forum crud. Should we start a thread of what forum stuff can go? What's the collective appetite for that do you think? |

How about reinstalling the old banner that gave us the "home, social sites, benefits, and contest, etc." areas that made it easier to access. |

We've started moving all the social forums off to a section of their own at the bottom (and collapsed). There's a lot so they wont be all moved out til Friday or so. I like the idea of a better dashboard/menu/banner type system. Trophy really, really needs it but the whole club can benefit from one. Have a super great 4th of July guys!! Lloyd |

Today, the drop downs are working from the banner. I don't know if that was changed or if it just didn't work the first time I attempted to use the function. Regardless, thanks!!!!!!!!!!! |

No problem RT. Keep the bugs and suggestions coming.
Holly, the Trophy Room link shouldn't be visible to you so when folks get back from vacation I'll have that hidden from view. Also, we'll be working on a button that will allow you to toggle to a lighter background. I've heard that the contrast is too great from enough people to think it's worth the extra effort. I don't think we'll be going back to the green but we can make it more of a charcoal so everything transitions better. It's *possible* to make it so you can choose your own background but I'd rather fix other stuff first.

It's past Friday, and nothing has changed about all the social networking crud on the forums page. Perhaps I missed this new "section of their own at the bottom" but I haven't noiticed any new headers. Was it just wishfull thinking or was someone jumping the gun when they said "We've started moving all the social forums". Time is still screwed up also, this was posted at 6:04am CST. |

Lloyd, would it be possible to either decrease the signature line size, make it a different color, or even separate it by a line, so that it doesn't appear to be part of the post? |

There went that finger again. Just erased the whole line. I'll see what comes out. It seems that we can't delete our own stuff(like when it doubles up). |

Thanks to the web support group for moving all the Social Group B/S to a header all their own. The fourm page looks much better now without all those red flags and wasted space. |

Your welcome Grandpops. We have a long list of stuff we're finding and fixing so hopefully things look like they are shaping up. Some of this inbox stuff may not get addressed til next week so I'm so thankful for you guys helping each other with the work arounds and pointing this stuff out to us. So tell me what you guys think of the social stuff. What do you like, what do you not like? I'm also curious what you like about the forums and how you as hunters use it. Thanks. |

I've never used the social stuff. My first experience with it was when the Forums page started getting cluttered by the Groups folders. I usually try to browse through the Forums at least once a day, and then it's only on certain topics that I have interest in, such as Muzzleloading, Firearms, Reloading, WhiteTail, Varmints, Handguns, LifeMember, Miscellaneous, and my State. I usually don't bother with the other topics unless a thread title just jumps out and gets my attention. |

I was the original beta tester for the social site, then came holly, jlowe, gfaber, and lunkerdog. None of our suggestions and ideas were ever acknowledged, must less installed. From my experience over there, the best is ease of posting pictures. Other than that, it's very similar to some of the same threads here with the complaints gripes, and daily hellos. I get much more information and interaction here on the forums. I don't even bother visiting the other side, unless I have received a message alert from someone over there. |

I looked at the Social Groups briefly. Reminded me of chat rooms, which I can't stand as all of the conversations just run together. Hate it. I'll stay here on the threaded side where you can actually follow a conversation... no offense. |

Oh, an Lloyd, could you add fixing the time setting on the forum posts please? It is called the North American HC but the current timezone setting for posts is in Iceland I believe. Fairly annoying. Most forum software has settings so that individuals can set the timezone that posts have. ie. My setting on most forums is GMT-5 hours for Eastern time, so all of the time/date stamps are shown to me as EDT where someone on the west coast could set theirs to GMT-8 and the posts would appear to them as pacific time. Thanks |

Oh, and also; how about an "ignore thread" function? That way w could simply hit that on all of the whining posts about free stuff, not getting anything to field test, etc... that'd be very nice. Or even better, a tool to setup thread filters. ie: Don't display any posts where the subject contains "free gift" for example |

The Contact Us button has been restored at the bottom of the page. Somehow it was left out when we were moving around code between pages, and it was actually still there on the home page which is what caused the wait because we didn't realize it was gone on just the forums page. Thanks for pointing that out guys! |
