Is anyone else having issues with their level of membership changing on the website. My status has changed from "Trophy" to "Life" or "Official" over five times now. Every time I get it straighten out, it will last a week or so, then I go to log into the site and I'm downgraded again. It isn't rocket science here, just keeping a simple database updated. You would think that once you're in the system as a "Trophy" member it wouldn't be changing unless someone has fat fingers.

You know I would think that you guys (Trophy Life Members) would be set apart in some manner from the others. By looking at your posts I can see no difference then any other person. Unless you happen to put it in your signature line. Not trying to separate the masses, but I would think they would give you some recognition for it. Maybe just your user names in blue or something. I know some other life members may have a problem with it, but I am a lifer too and see no problem with it. Just sayin... You paid for the title you should get something out of it, before it is taken away and replaced with what ever come next, maybe Elite Hunter ? |

You know, I just looked and it shows me as a "Official Member" as well. Guess I'll drop the club a note. |

LS, I've got the same thing on my profile, and I've been a member since 1977 or '78. I believe that membership date refers to this new BB, and not to membership in the club. |

Guys---When you log on to the BB it should show your name and Club status at the top. Also, if you go into your account, it should show that you are a life member and the date you became one. If you then go into your profile, over to the right it will show when you came on the BB itself. This is the one thing that the Club has done right on my membership, but it sounds like yours are screwed up!

OK; it's "DUMB QUESTION TIME" , and I'm first in line. What is the difference between "Trophy, Life, and Official" membership. I see reference to these alot, but have only seen regular and life openly mentioned buy the NAHC? Obviousely there is status involved, but what else comes to play? |

Regular, or official, is when you pay a membership renewal each and every year. Life is when you paid one membership fee for the rest of your life. Trophy is when the club suckers you into giving them an additional fee, to enhance(?) your life membership. |

No shootin'J you also get a discount at Cabelas I think............ Course you could keep the money you give the club and just buy what you wanted to start with........... I would guess that over the long term the majority will not buy enough stuff from Cabelas to make worth the discount. You know that they would not do it if the numbers were not in their favor. |

Welcome to "The Club"!!! I suggest you go to the bottom of the page and click on "Contact the Club". You will find an 800 number to call them or an email can be sent to try and straighten out your problems. Good luck! Incidentally, unless you opt out of having them send you books, etc., you are obligated to either buy them or send them back. That was in the terms you probably didn't read when you joined. Send them an email and keep the copy telling them you don't want to be sent all that stuff. If they continue to send it, then the PO regulations state that you can keep it for free.

I asked last time i was at the Cabelas here and they said no discount. Probably just screwin me. I'll ask again next time. I believe Bass-Pro does, but we don't have one here. |

Rob. Welcome to the club. When they send you those books, don't drag your feet on sending them back if you don't want them. They give you a very small window to return without charge. I got one when I first joined and saw that time was definately of the essence. And I believe they ask you 6-8 weeks for the welcome packet/goodies. Mine came in about that time frame, but I left it out and my puppy ate most of it (Paperwork) in about 6 hours. On a good note though. I wanted a recipe out of the Wild Game book they sent, and I called them and explained what happened. They sent me another book.....free..... |

Shootin'J---That Cabelas discount you are talking about only applies to members who are in the Trophy Life membership status that the Club wants another $129 fee for.

Welcome to the club Robert ! Like stated above you need to contact member services, if you do not want items sent to your home, tell them. If you do not they will keep sending it. |

Where on the CONTESTS PAGE do you add your email? I checked off a couple items of interst and upon clicking to send the info packet -- I got a box that said I needed to enter my email address? Please advise. Thanks. |

It's not on the contest page, If I'm not mistaken you need to go to your profile, and set up your mailing address, your phone #, and your e-mail address. Then when you are logged in, all of the info can be accessed automatically by the site. |

Not sure Deerslayer, when I enter I do not get any message wanting my e-mail address, but I do not ever opt to receive any of that stuff they offer ? I would suggest you go to the bottom of the Bulletin Board and click on the "contact the club" selection. |

If you then go into your profile, over to the right it will show when you came on the BB itself. This is the one thing that the Club has done right on my membership, but it sounds like yours are screwed up!
