The interesting thing I've noticed, is that there are a lot of folks on the social pages who do not participate on the forums, at least not any of them that I've noticed. Considering that I was the very first beta tester for the social pages, the concept was basically designed to put more emphasis on this site and less on facebook. Needless to say, the NAHC failed to do that. Then on top of everything else, when holly, jlowe, g-faber, bear03, and Lunkerdog were also invited into the beta test, the NAHC failed to offer any guidelines on what they expected, and then they refused to acknowledge our input and suggestions on what we felt the membership would want. These days, I only go there to post a review of a field test item from StuffStuff, and to reply to any posts made to my journal or addressed directly to me. |

This social group deal was yet another way to get us old farts either on board with an easier to maintain format or to just get us out of the way. |

I looked at the groups. Couldn't stand them. All comments just went up based on the time posted not the subject. They may have changed that but I much prefer threaded topics.
