I was wondering if a 327 would be a good gun to use for hunting any kind of animal?

Small game would be the best bet.  Generally, the 357 is considered a minimum for deer and don't push the envelope with it.

Don't know how the 327 will do on game animals, but it did great in my 69 Camaro.

My min for deer is 357 with the right bullet and max loads.  So the 327 is for small game.  For self defense in the home, yes, in the woods, maybe, to me it falls into that catagory of "piss 'em off" where a 357 or 44 would be better.  Now if you don't have one in your collection, by all means buy one.

 

Oh yea, I had a hot 327 back in '68 as well.

I would like to see someone build the 327 mag. in an affordable 7 1/2 " barrel revolver . Just can't afford one of those Freedom Arms m-97's Also need ammo companies to step up with some good loads .
