Months ago I asked a question about bows in hopes of getting good insite into buying my first bow.  Since then, I have purchased the Bear Truth 2, practiced like mad, and was able to take my first archery deer this season... pics to come later.  Thanks for all the help!

Say let me know how that Bear works out for you. I was leaning that way but noticed a trend over the last 8 months that they are having problems and being taken back in for repair alot.

You sir are one of the few, the proud the BOWHUNTER! I would say you are in for the ride of your life, bow hunters are mocked, ridiculed, immitated and even envied, but they are never ever sorry for the perfection of an ancestrial skilled kill even when the kill is a mosquito... Yes i killed a mosquito with an arrow, ( i used it to swatt a mosquito) that was freaking biting my wife!

Congrats on the new bow, and the first year success!! I thought I was going to baptise my new Bear Element this year, but the four I had in range never turned the right way for a proper shot. Oh well. Congrats again, let us know if you continue with good luck with the Truth 2. Good hunting, from Maine.

First of all, let me say Congratulations on taking your deer with your bow.  Awesome!  I too bought a Bear Truth 2 bow back in July & absolutely love it.  Did a ton of FITA & 3d shoots over the summer and found it a consistent & steady bow.  Unfortunately I bought my Archery tag back in September & was only able to get out one afternoon.  Been a crazy fall for work! So no venison in the freezer...Yet! Still 3 weeks left in the hunting season & I am truly hoping to get out for a couple of days next week.  The time is booked & I am praying nothing comes up to spoil it.

Also have to add, the Bear Truth 2 is one of the quietest bows I have come across.  The members of the 2 archery clubs I belong to have an amazing variety of bows, both old & new, and the Truth 2 is the quietest among them.  And this is from the other members comments.  It is also a very fast bow, not the fastest, but plenty quick!  You, and I, made a great choice with this bow.
