I've been feverishly hunting, filming and producing new episodes of Winchester's Deadly Passion for the past year. I spent 174 amazing days in the field last season. Travel has been nonstop and the workload seems to get heavier by the day ... but I wouldn't trade it for the world!

I do a ton of bowhunting from a variety of treestands, blinds and tower stands, so I've seen many—perhaps most—of the options that are on the market. At the ATA Show this week, I found an impressive newcomer to the deer stand market: Citadel Stands. They build a tower stand specifically for bowhunters called the Citadel Sanctuary.

This week on Winchester's Deadly Passion I head out to west-central Illinois for a late-season muzzleloader hunt. After spending a lot of time prior to the season setting Cuddeback scouting cameras, hanging stands and scouting, I set the bar pretty high on the caliber of buck I was hoping to take. After passing several nice deer, an absolute giant steps out within range of my muzzleloader.  This was another one of those hunts that I decided to film myself, and it all worked out great!
