Most of us have become accustomed to Facebook, Twitter and other social sharing websites. But did you know that—even beyond forums—there are several smaller social sites dedicated solely to hunters?

Wow, time sure flies. I could swear it was just yesterday when I posted the Prime Shift LR sweepstakes, but as I glanced at the calendar this morning I realized it ends Sunday. You know what that means ... you better hurry up and enter before it’s over.

Alright, I’m back at it. I’ve kept my eyes and ears open and scoured the Web and social media sites for any worthwhile sweepstakes, contests and giveaways I could find for this month's edition of “Win, Win, Win, And Win Some More.” I know you'll like what I have in store for you this month.

Social media is an ever-emerging medium that affects almost everyone in one way or another. Essentially, it all started with website forums, then MySpace and now Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube and countless others have emerged as powerful leaders in the space.

These dynamic media have completely changed the way we receive information and, as hunters, the more info we can gather to improve our game, the better. On top of that, the speed at which modern social media is transmitted allows us to quickly sort through the info we’re not interested in or isn’t relevant at the time.

I’m taking a step away from the normal social media bit today to share some joy I recently experienced. During the weekend, as I was working on the house putting up some trim, I heard my 3-year-old son, Wyatt, playing with his toy guns. This isn’t anything too out of the ordinary, but I thought I’d stop for a bit and listen to what he was actually doing.
