Rebel is just a Brittany. AKC defines "The Brittany is a medium-sized, leggy, dual-purpose dog, equally suited for sport and companionship. According to AKC® Registration Statistics, it has surged in popularity in the last 50 years due to its talents as both a hunting and show dog. Originally called the Brittany Spaniel, it is now referred to simply as the Brittany, as its hunting style more closely resembles that of pointing breeds. Its dense, flat or wavy coat can be orange and white or liver and white in either clear or roan patterns."

Rebel looks more like he will lick the next person coming in the door. But, Rebel is Brittany Springer Spaniel. Brittany Spaniel’s are an excellent dog because it can senses ground and air for upland birds where many other hunting dogs either ground or air only. The 5.11 Taclite Pro pants are very nice. Very much like cargo pants - my size is 36 waists and 32 inseam.

Since everyone else has already said Brittany Spaniel, then I'm going to throw out one nobody else has said. He also looks like an Irish Red & White Setter.

You know, there are also color variants of the English Setter and English Springer Spaniel that look like Rebel. It's somewhat of a coincidence that my very first hunting dog was also named Rebel.

OK, guys. I'm sorry to say nobody has the correct answer yet (even though "chhurliman" is very close). Remember, I said you need to be very specific. Hint: AKC.

Well, he kind of looks too big, but I guess he could be a Welsh Springer Spaniel.

I don't have a guess that hasn't already been guessed. I can say that he's just like any other dog. The smellin' end goes over the fence first and the smelly end goes over last.

Rebel looks like an AKC American Brittany in the Orange and White color they commonly come in. The AKC no longer calls them Spaniels, just Brittany. The American Brittany lacks the "Black Coloring" gene found in the French Brittany(Epagneul Breton), which is where the breed came from. Good dogs, loyal, loving, and amazing, persistant hunters.

AKC Recognizes the breed as "Brittany" And my pup "Scout" is an excellent example :)

MossyTop got it right. Thanks to everyone for playing along. The AKC dropped the spaniel designation several years ago and the breed is now recognized as American Brittany. There is also a French Brittany. Rebel is an orange roan and he's a good boy.

If you are going to so picky, then chhurliman actually won. If you go to the AKC website you can see that they not only dropped the work Spaniel, but they also dropped the work American and are now calling on only a Brittany --> http://www.akc.org/breeds/brittany/index.cfm

I am a great dog lover. Just lost my 14 year old Lab. Those pants look great for an outdoor hunter. Great looking English Brittany Spaniel. I sure I not the first one but if you have any extras : ).

The pants look like they are good to use for hunting and fishing, would like to try a pair out.
