Nice self contained grinder, sure beats the old hand grinding appliance that I currently have.
Friday, November 16, 2012 1:08 PM
Witch doctor? But have to agree with you on the fact that if Real Tree puts their logo on it they stand behind it than the product should be a good one! You also got me on the fact mail deliverer stood there the whole time you talked about it and then it panned to him, thought he was already gone, and i thought what is he still doing there. Good videos and a hint of humor love watching. Thanks

A larger bin on top to accommodate stuffing would be a nice feature. This would be a great addition to the tools I currently use from hoof to freezer since the meat never leaves my possession.
Friday, November 16, 2012 1:26 PM
Will the Real Tree cover make it disappear from the wife's view when it is on the counter?
If so, please send it my way!
Thanks

Weston makes some great appliances. At westonsupply.com this grinder has a MSRP of $119.99. It has a 3/4 hp motor and comes with the following accessories: stainless steel grinding plates for fine/medium and course grinding - Stainless steel knife - sausage stuffing funnel and sausage spacer - large grinder tray - stomper for pushing meat into grinder which doubles as storage compartment for accessories. For those like myself that process our deer every year this would make a great addition to our arsenal. The satisfaction of processing yourself along with the cost savings more than make up for the small price tag of this appliance. Give processing a try and see for yourself - what a great feeling of accomplishment. Good luck and great hunting! NAHC Trophy Life Member

I'll take it. Next a meat slicer and all will be good.
Friday, November 16, 2012 1:55 PM
With me butchering my own meat, this would be one handy addition to my meat bench. Not only does this look powerful, but it doesn't take up a lot of space. Double bonus!
Friday, November 16, 2012 2:42 PM
I would love to have a grinder of my own rather then have to borrow one from a coworker.
Friday, November 16, 2012 2:47 PM
This would be a great piece of equipment for the annual venison jerky festival at my house. I could even upgrade to sausage with this baby. Looks like a substantial piece of equipment and if Real Tree is putting it's logo on it, it should hold up well.
Friday, November 16, 2012 2:50 PM
Would be a welcome addition to our kitchen,A big money saver when butchering game.
Friday, November 16, 2012 3:08 PM

Friday, November 16, 2012 3:16 PM

I watched the video earlier at work (Shhh! Don't tell my Boss!) and I am now sitting in my deer stand on my iPhone watching a fawn intent on staying just out of how range. My guess is she heard how awesome this Realtree grinder is and doesn't want to find out how well it works for herself. She has nothing to be concerned about but I'm hoping she sends her Daddy to test it out first. Nothing better than some homemade summer sausage or my famous Honey Tabasco Jerky.
Friday, November 16, 2012 4:09 PM
That should say bow range.... Dang you Autocorrect! (Shakes fist)
Friday, November 16, 2012 5:11 PM
Looks and sounds Looks like a great product. Wouldn't mind giving it a go.
Friday, November 16, 2012 6:29 PM
Wow!! This would be great. I have been taking my deer over to a friend to grind up and they have a Cabellas grinder. The Realtree grinder looks a lot better than hers and I could show it off to her. Would be a great addition to our kitchen for processing our meat. I like the fact it has replacement parts and looks easy to put together and clean.
Awesome product Realtree!!!

Friday, November 16, 2012 10:29 PM
That grinder looks like it takes the cake. I wonder if I get one,my wife might help but needless to say last time I had her help, she had nightmares for months. This I don't know why she loves eating my harvest, wierd I guess. P.S don't tell her I said that she tries to be tough "Ha" happy hunting ya'll

I've been butchering my own wild game for more than 20 yrs. and have done my share of hand grinding and hand stuffing. That looks like a solid piece of equipment that would make a great addition to any hunter/butcher's kitchen. I'd be proud to give it a workout with this years buck burger and turkey burger. It would certainly make sausage stuffing less of a challenge.
Saturday, November 17, 2012 6:48 AM
Would be a nice change, we need hearing protection with the grinder we're using now.
Saturday, November 17, 2012 8:11 AM
This thing looks really nice. I think everyone should own stuff like this. We need to not only teach our kids how to hunt, but how to sustain ourselves by processing our own wild game. It's just so much more rewarding than killing an animal, and taking it somewhere to be processed.
Saturday, November 17, 2012 9:41 AM
Started out with hand grinder yrs ago, bought electric one about seven yrs ago its just about shot its wad since our group does several deer every yr. Would love to try the Weston. Do they make slicers? I need a new one.

This would be a great product for me and my family we always process our own deer and we could use this
Saturday, November 17, 2012 11:44 AM
i have about every piece of home processing equipment; 2 types slicers,(1 on bone 1 for steaks), mixer,(for sausage) grinder, and packagers we use the assembly line process when we start, the whole family joins in. im a disabled vet and i taught the whole family how and the miricle is they enjoy it.
Saturday, November 17, 2012 12:35 PM
used to use a hand grinder at my grandmother's farm, and this would be sure to be a hit with my wife when we make hamburgers and we could learn sausage making too. double bonus!!
Saturday, November 17, 2012 12:45 PM
i have a plastic unit now and it s///s.the nut that holds the grinder plates comes off during operation.i thought i stripped the threads but i didn't it seems you get a little muscle in there it shoots off.please give me this grinder my family are meat eaters, welove making are own sausage and sticks
Saturday, November 17, 2012 4:24 PM
I have had homemade sausages made by my freinds but I've always wanted to do my own. Doing my own, I'll be able to make what I want not what THEY want. With this grinder I would be able to do just that. I'll be able to make it as mild or spicy and lean or fatty as I want and best of all, it will be MY bear or deer. Without a doubt, homemade is far better than store bought mystery meat.
Saturday, November 17, 2012 6:22 PM

Weston's Realtree Meat Grinder is a great addition to the kitchen for the hunter as well as for the wife. The 650 watt (0.87 HP!) meat grinder and sausage stuffer is great for processing your game & making sausage but it is a handy addition to your kitchen gadgets. Ever notice the price for lean ground hamburger meat at the food store? Regular price of almost $5/lb! One can buy boneless chuck roasts or boneless beef ribs at regular price, or on sale, for much less. Trim off the fat to suit your tastes and grind your own hamburger meat (three different textures) in a few minutes grinding. All the grinding parts are stainless steel so just pop them into your automatic dishwasher and you are assured that there is no food residue to spoil your next batch. Great for grinding left over roasts, turkey, etc as well. It's on my "next buy" list.
Sunday, November 18, 2012 1:52 PM
yo mean i don't have to turn the crank anymore hurray!
Sunday, November 18, 2012 2:14 PM
I can really use one of those I dont own one and I've been looking to get a meat grinder.
Sunday, November 18, 2012 3:38 PM
Weston makes good equipment and a meat grinder would be awesome to have! Jerky meat and venison sausage! Cool!
Sunday, November 18, 2012 9:02 PM
Great product. Love the fact it isn't hand powered like my current grinder. Having a grinder definitely makes processing your own game meat easier. Love the fact that this one has some power with it in terms of motor.
Sunday, November 18, 2012 10:00 PM
Looks like a nice grinder/sausage stuffer. Would really like to have one to do product test on, and post feed back on your blog.
Sunday, November 18, 2012 11:35 PM
would love to have one on the counter and would get a great work out with a moose and caribou
Monday, November 19, 2012 12:11 AM

Phil should grind up your witch doctor darts you evil but tall voodoo doctor! Would love that grinder so I can stop paying all that money to my local butcher!
Monday, November 19, 2012 7:07 AM
Looks and sounds like a great product. I process my own game and have to drive about 30 miles to use my sons grinder. If you are lucky enough to win this unit, please write a review. This would be a great addition to anyones kitchen.Good luck hunting this season and stay safe.H
Monday, November 19, 2012 7:52 AM
Double WOW!! This would be great to have. Thing of starting to butcher my deer this year. This would be a great tool to have and make it alot easier to get start in processing my deer. Stainless steel would be easy clean up. Real Tree partnership is great to see on Weston processor.
Monday, November 19, 2012 8:42 AM
Looks like a great grinder. Every year that I'm successful, I like to make my own sausage,an hamburger. This would be an added tool to the process. The Real Tree feature is a nice touch an would look good in any kitchen.

Monday, November 19, 2012 10:21 AM

Monday, November 19, 2012 1:42 PM
crap i clicked notify and my email is loading up :(
Monday, November 19, 2012 5:12 PM
I've been wanting to start processing our own meat for a while now. Definitely save money. We process anywhere from 7-10 a year. Gets costly. We are serious about our deer meat. :) Great x-mas present! Between my husband and I we took all our deer this year with our compound bows. If feels like more of an accomplishment.
Monday, November 19, 2012 6:53 PM
I tried to grind my own venison a few years ago. After struggling with incessant clogging I just plain threw in the towel. In order to eliminate my frustration I decided to just do the skinning and boning myself and take the meat to the butcher to grind. I'd certainly like to give it a try again with a much better unit like this!!
Monday, November 19, 2012 7:09 PM
looks really awesome would so love to fix our own deer sausage this year with it !!! my first year hunting too !!
Monday, November 19, 2012 8:13 PM
looks like just what i have been looking to get to do my grind small but looks like it will do a great job
Monday, November 19, 2012 8:31 PM
If i had this, i wouldnt have a sore arm the next day! Anybody want to buy an old hand crank grinder ?
Tuesday, November 20, 2012 4:52 AM
always wanted to make sausages out of some of the game that i get. this would make it easy to do
Tuesday, November 20, 2012 5:43 AM
Would love to be able to finish one more step of processing
our harvests. This grinder/ stuffer would help an "old Huntress" with the finishing touches.
Tuesday, November 20, 2012 6:37 AM
I would LOVE to have one of these grinder, to be able to make jerky, summer sausage, burgers, there is endless possibility's.
Tuesday, November 20, 2012 6:55 AM
looks good
Tuesday, November 20, 2012 10:39 AM
The grinder looks good. I wish that there could be a real time demonstration of how this grinder would work. This grinder would however beat the snot out of the grinder that I am currently using seeing as it is over 15 years old. I t may be time to look into a new one and get out of the old.
Tuesday, November 20, 2012 12:42 PM
This is an essential tool for anyone who processes their own game, or anyone who likes to make their own pepperoni or sausage. I really enjoy using tools like these, sure beats the heck out of paying someone to do what you can in your own kitchen. Keep up the humor in the videos, makes my day every time i get to watch one of your videos.
Tuesday, November 20, 2012 12:52 PM
Why would you need to camouflage your meat grinder??
I saw a camo dehydrator the other day, I like camo as much as the next guy but in the kitchen? I guess I dont get it?
Tuesday, November 20, 2012 3:02 PM
Nice looking piece of equiptment, was impressed by light weight (the way you ere flipping it around. My grinder motor weighs about 50lbs.Product from Weston and Realtree, names you can trust
Tuesday, November 20, 2012 9:14 PM
This is a nice grinder but a little noisy. It has plastic gears which is bad. Does a nice job grinding meat, haven't tried the sausage stuffer part yet
Wednesday, November 21, 2012 9:13 AM
Well Gordy, you finally came up with a product for the wife to enjoy. I think this would be a perfect addition to her kitchen. I sure get tired of watching her grind all that venison by hand with Grandma's old hand grinder, but she is good at it and doesn't complain much. I think this electric grinder would free her up to bring me more beers while I am watching my N A H Hunting shows, and do a better job of cleaning the house! So thanks again for thinking of the better half! She will be so excited to see this arrive in the mail! LOL
Wednesday, November 21, 2012 9:38 AM
This looks like a great grinder with a .8 hp motor that I am sure it will grind anything that fits in the grinder's throat. I used to butcher my own game but because of the time it took I have not butchered my own game the last couple of years. But with the price of processing you could pay for this grinder by butchering just 2 deer! I would love to have a grinder like this to help with the butchering process because my old grinder requires cranking and lots of time. This grinder would definitely help anyone speed up the butchering process and make it fun for everyone.
Thursday, November 22, 2012 9:04 PM
Does this grinder come with a five speed gear reduction handle ? My hand me down old fashion hand grinder is so slow and worn that my wife gets a sore shoulder using it.This Westons RealTree meat grinder would put a big smile on her face, and mine to.
Friday, December 07, 2012 9:16 AM
I like to process my own meat, this could be beneficial to me.I have a small grinder and it takes some time to grind the amount of meat I make a year.I make deer, pork, turkey, and beef burgers and also sausage and jerky.I would love to upgrade but the grinder I have has also been a good one.Thank you Gordy and happy hunting, and Merry Christmas.
Friday, February 08, 2013 7:19 PM
Wow that baby would really make it a lot easier to make burger out of your venison. I sure could use a unit like that instead of the old fashioned hand grinder I use now.
Please, Please, Please think of me when picking a winner.
Thursday, March 07, 2013 12:13 PM
Gordy,
Help! I process between 3-4 deer,3-5 hogs,2 elk for each of my sons & their wives,+ their inlaw/outlaws ,with one grandchild hunting now. They help bone the game & I start grinding & seasoning the meat;yet OUR MIXER/GRINDER IS GING TO NEED THE THIRD GRINDER ATTACHMETS.
My wife teaches the girls & everyone to stuff sausage as I rest a couple of minutes. We will have meat for eight familes, plus some single parents in area.
Larry H.
Monday, April 01, 2013 10:51 PM
I wouldn't have to pay for the meat processing any longer
Tuesday, April 02, 2013 9:11 AM
there are to many reason why it would be a great product to be added to my housold. as an avid hunter who hunt moose and cariboo also bears in Newfoundland . i have a lot of meat to process every years. This would make it the best addition to my houseè just love it.
Tuesday, April 02, 2013 11:21 AM
Definitely makes game processing so much easier and faster.
Tuesday, April 02, 2013 2:24 PM
this would be great, i bet its would be alot easier than doing processing by hand, and would take less time!! tat would be great
Thursday, April 04, 2013 4:13 PM
make sure it's put away when not in use,an angry missus with quick access to a meat grinder can be catostophic!
Tuesday, April 16, 2013 9:05 AM
This is perfect for me to have. By making my favorite jerky of such I would be able to provide the best food for my family. I have always wanted to have or use one of these. So can't wait.
Thursday, April 18, 2013 6:14 AM
It looks good but i wish you would of demo it to see if it would grind that tough meat on leg of a deer i burnt two up and said i wouldnt get another one unless it could do the job without burnen up gears as for realtree thats a good for them to endorse the product if it realy works i can put my name on a check doesnt meen its good or not untill it clears
Friday, April 26, 2013 4:53 PM
I would like to have this, we are processing our own deer.
Sunday, April 28, 2013 4:30 PM
this meat grinder looks precision, and it only gets better with the realtree covera, allowing you to grind meat allowing you to eat your incredible game animal and it also brings out your hunting side with the realtree ap camo.
Sunday, May 12, 2013 4:54 PM
